A Little Thick for Cutting In

I replaced the 2 inch Purdy that my sister-in-law borrowed and ruined with this one. I primarily use the brush for cutting in and I found this one a little thick at the tip for that. It holds a lot of paint and is of good quality. If I were shopping in a store I would have chosen something different for the purpose, but I can't complain about the quality of the brush. Just be aware that if you're looking to cut in at the ceiling you're going to find this isn't the best brush for that. It works great in other areas and is nice when you need to apply a lot of paint on a textured surface, as it does hold paint well. It cleans up decently and should last a while.

Excellent!!! Sturdy and last!

Purdy is my number one go to! They last for a very long time if you take care of them! Clean them and store them right back in their cover and you will have them for years!

Worth the money!

A little more expensive than other brushes and worth every penny, especially with Amazon pricing. We're just homeowners that do a lot of our own work and maintenance. Over many years and many projects, we've learned that good quality rollers and brushes are definitely worth spending a bit on because they will save you time, reduce drips/spills, and improve the finish. Additionally, if cleaned and maintained well, these will last a surprisingly long time. Based on many hours of painting projects, Purdy are our go-to brushes. Love 'em.

Disappointing expierence ????

I have used Purdy brushes for many years and have always been pleased with their performance and quality. Not so with this brush. It does not hold much paint in the bristles are too stiff. The biggest problem is quality control. When I went to use this brush I discovered that many of the bristles we're not full length . I have tried to reach Amazon many times, but due to COVID-19 I cannot contact for warranty replacement or refund. Unfortunately my return window has closed and I am greatly disappointed in this brush his performance and Amazon lack of customer service.

You get what you pay for

I've said it before and I'll say it again: there is nothing like having the correct tool for the job. Don't cheap out on paintbrushes, people. It is simply not worth it. Invest in Purdy brushes and keep them clean and they will far outlast those cheap imitations. I invested in a paintbrush cleaning brush (yes, there is such a thing) that is part comb, part brush, and use it with a wee bit of dish soap to clean my Purdy brushes with success. As far as functionality, the Purdy delivers when you are actually painting.

Professional-grade paintbrush...

There's a reason why most professional house-painters use Purdy brushes -- their quality is unmatched. Yes, they cost about 3 times as much as an "average" brush, but if you take care of it, it will last damn near forever. I am blown away by how well-made this brush is, especially compared to a $5 brush that you can find just about anywhere. If you're going to do any kind of painting in and around your house, buy this brush -- you won't regret it, despite the fact that it's so much more expensive than most other brushes on the market. You definitely get what you pay for in this case.

No brush out there like it!

This is a fantastic paint brush. The angled bristles on the brush allow any amateur to create results like a pro getting into tight corners and creating perfectly straight lines if the brush were only a little cheaper I would have bought a set. I only wish delivery to the UK could have been a little quicker.

Amazing brush Truly its a pro, works with all kind of paint, tested with oil base and water base did an amazing job. Very good for cutting, it actually got me a better, faster result than using masking tape.
