Ordered 3x, still too small for belly

Hard to find larger sizes in women’s. Usually buy men’s, but these at 3x , I still couldn’t snap the pants shut.

Quality Quality and just love these pants

Keeps the water out. Well duh! But the utility on these cannot be beat. Pockets zipped all around, you don't lose stuff, though velcro for the cargo pockets. Well sewn, and no loose threads. Yes made in Viet Nam, but the quality is so good. I have many of these pants because they are a easy loose fit with or without street pants underneath. Reasonably durable, and the loose fit appeals to me. I don't like painted on pants. Your mileage may vary. Keeping the water out is their forte and I have never gotten wet even in a downpour and in the south we get plenty of that. Just can't say enough good things about these pants. Ready for rain duty or just plain duty, they are just cool to wear when it isn't raining though when hot outside not your first choice as it can get toasty in these pretty quick. A winner.

Buy one size larger

Durable rain pants, rain rolls right off, and they are nearly wind proof as well. The pockets are great and the zippered pass-through lines up perfectly with my BDU pants. Great outer layer when conditions are wet, cold, or windy. I bought the same size as my BDU pants, and as other reviews suggest, they are the same size as my BDU pants. I meant to wear them over top my BDU pants, but they are really too tight for that. If you want to wear over top other pants, get one size larger than you usually wear. I would love to exchange for one size larger, but I missed the return window by a week. =(

Order size up

These pants run small. Order at least a size up. The size chart is no good. I have a big butt and big thighs. These are not sized for guys made with power. I ordered another pair in an XL and they are better but still a little snug. I wear these as my regular duty pants and I do not wear my regular police pants under them. The warmth and thickness is perfect. The length is also great. I love the velcro belt loops and it makes getting the old duty belt off so much easier.

I’m 6’5” and have longed for rain patrol pants for a very long time. These are quite nice and long enough to fit me. There is a bit of a learning curve for wearing them which I am still working through. The description says made to wear over your regular pants, which I’ve done successfully. The width is a no go with my inner belt on to hold up my regular pants. Therefore i ended up leaving it in my locker and using the built in Velcro keepers which worked pretty well for my duty rig. I’m not sure if I wouldn’t rather have gotten a larger width but that was not available.

These Are Great

I've been very impressed with the fit and quality of other pants that I have purchased from 5.11 Tactical, so I figured the chances were pretty good that the rain pants would also be of high quality. They are. Even being a man's cut, there is enough adjustment to provide for a very comfortable fit for a woman. The rise is lower than many men's pants, so the waistband doesn't come halfway to your armpits, which is nice. As far as sizing goes - I normally order a women's 10 in outerwear pants, so that I can easily wear regular pants and thermals underneath. The medium long in these is perfect. Plenty of room to layer underneath, but not baggy so they still look professional for work. The inseam in the long measures about 34.5" (nice to find a company that offers a longer inseam). I have not used them in the rain, but they kept me completely dry during several hours of heavy snow fall.

Sizes run very small

These pants keep me dry. I wear these on patrol in Northern California and I stay dry. The sizes on these pants are way off. I am 5’10” 200 with a 35 inch waist and I can not even come close to fitting a large, xlarge fits just right with no pants worn under these. Other than the size thing I really like these.

Glad I bought these

I live in Oregon, so if you sign up for a training class they hold the class in any weather (except perhaps a thunderstorm). Used these for a two-day class in the pouring rain and they worked perfectly. Glad I had them, as a few others in the class were pretty miserable by day 2. Much better than most others I looked at due to the pockets and belt loops.
