Minimum support
These seem much like the Superfeet Blue insoles. The material is premium and a good cost alternative to more expensive insoles. But I could use a little more arch and metatarsal support, myself. However, even for me, these supports do offer pain relief and are shaped by Superfeet. This means less trimming to shape your shoes but may require slight adjustment at the length in toe area at front of shoes. I prefer to cut to custom fit to length for secure support anyway, so this is convenient. The heel security in shoe is good with this support as well. I very much dislike supports that raise the heel or have my heel raising out of the shoe's heel cup and rubbing while falling back in while in stride. So I can say this support did not disappoint me. Depending on the shoe these are placed in, the active supports near ball and toes may feel raised slightly. I actually can see this visually and feel it but it's subtle; this is a feature in the active version- added for shock and support. I often do get pain near the ball of my right foot that can be triggered by climbing and descending stairs and cornering on the balls of my feet. This support did help with that so I'll call it a feature. But my arches and metatarsals are higher than this support offers so I'd hope Ace would consider a similar alternative support with higher arch consideration. But I'd recommend this one for anyone that prefers Superfeet Blue supports. The cost and the materials in this active support may be ideal for those with that preference and foot type.

Nice, IF they work with your foot shape... comparison to Superfeet
I have used Superfeet before, and find that they really do help - hiking with them vs. without them is a different experience, and my feet (and the rest of me) feel less fatigued afterwards. So, I grabbed these hoping I could pop them into my running shoes to get the same effect. And... they're pretty good. Especially for the price. But, it's hard for me to recommend these unless you can't afford actual Superfeet. Here's why: Having only three sizes - small, medium and large - may not be enough. Even if your FOOT is a certain size, you may have a flatter or higher or longer or shorter ARCH, and the way the insoles "hug" your arch is pretty important. That's why Superfeet have both sizes and colors, to adapt to a wider variety of feet/arches. The large of one color didn't feel right at all; the large of another color - with a longer arch - worked great! So, long story short: these ACE insoles might work great for you... or they might not. You'll only be able to tell once you actually have them in your shoes. If they do fit your foot... they seem pretty well done for the price. They maybe don't offer as much support as Superfeet, but that's expected given the price. They are easy to size and install. Overall, give these a shot - they could be a low-cost way to make any shoe or boot better. If they don't work for you, Superfeet could be the answer then, but you'll have to spend quite a bit more.

Well made, but not for my feet
These insoles are very well made, but personally I’m not quite sold on them. I don’t have any particular problems with my feet that need addressing, but I have a large collection of vintage dress shoes, many of which don’t quite fit perfectly (they’re the right size, but the lasts on which high end dress shoes are built can vary greatly even within the exact same size). I have an extensive collection of insoles of varying thicknesses and degrees of arch support to ensure that every pair of shoes fits as if it was tailored to my foot. I was really hoping that this one might help me with a new pair of Yanko loafers that have just a tiny amount of extra volume around the toe box. They looked to be around the correct thickness I’d need, and when I fit them into the shoe (the medium was a perfect fit for a US size 10) the shoes fit me much better. Unfortunately the insoles themselves weren’t all that comfortable for me. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with the insoles. They just don’t suit the shape of my feet, so when I walk on them it feels as if I’m walking on an uneven surface. It’s a shame as they were the perfect size to address my fit issues, but I can’t imagine walking long distances on them. Still, I’ll give them a solid four stars for the quality of construction.

good but not great... + TIP
It does provide some support and cushion for your feet but I didn't think it was that much better than insoles that comes with your sneakers. I guess I had high expectation of better cushion and comfort from these... ** TIP** It will be very difficult to cut these to the right shape if you happen to buy this AFTER you throw away your old insoles. So don't throw away your insoles so you can trace it over with a marker and get exact match to fit with your sneakers. Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

Comfortable, but they don't last long
These insoles seemed like a good option for work, especially the active ones since I am on my feet most of the day. There is a change of comfort that can be felt, and for the first couple of weeks I was content with the added comfort. However, a month in, and they added no benefit anymore. I was better without them than with. For an "active" insole, they cannot take a lot of activity. I suppose for someone more casual, they might work out better. So while they work well (when they are new), they don't seem to last long.

much less effective than Superfeet
These insoles are advertised as "Shaped by Superfeet", but realistically they hard orthotic stabilizer and arch support that Superfeet insoles have. These feel like they are made mostly from EVA foam. They do provide some cushioning, but with far less stability and support than Superfeet-brand insoles.
