A solid tool for camping and as a portable shelter from the sun

I used this product on a camping trip, where the site had some wind and a variation of sandy loose and compact soil. It held up quite well, serving mostly as a shelter for our non-food camping supplies. As a shelter for people, it is small, and would great for small kids to be completely sheltered, or adults to be partly sheltered. It also has a transparent strip of fabric that could be considered nice for enjoying scenery 360 degrees, or annoying for allowing sun in at an angle. Four stars out of five mostly because using this on a windy beach might be complicated. It's design, with multiple ways to anchor the shelter, is great. You can weight it down with supplied sand bags and with attached "wings" that can be filled with sand or held down with rocks. The supplied stakes, however, are thick plastic and short. I can't imagine they would be very effective in any kind of loose sand or soil. Otherwise, easy to unfold and fold up. I can't comment on durability, because I have only used it once so far.

Got delivered broken

I have used one before for 2+ years and ordered a new one. Very unfortunate I got sent an item that is broken (it looked like some else returned a broken one and I got sent the same). Very disappointed, I have ordered a replacement - based on what I get will change my opinion. Update - vendor reached out and corrected this bad experience. So changed my ratings. Tents have been great each time we have used it.

A great little beach tent

We've tried many beach tents in the past, as I've already had melanoma at a young age. This tent is a great little pop up tent. It's super easy and 1uick to set up and although getting it back down takes a little practice, it's still easy enough. It's super light weight and folds back into a small carrying bag. We take this out on the boat with us island hopping and so it stores nicely and does not take up much room and also holds it own against the wind. I've had beach tents rip in the wind prior. I did fill the bags with sand for when we went for a walk but it was still intact when we came back. This is all around a great little tent for the price and I would gladly purchase it again.

Lightweight and Breathable

We had a family vacation at the beach and I wanted to make sure there was shade available for a 9-month old baby. This worked great. The baby actually napped in it a few times. It was a 2 person job to fold it and put it back in the bag but overall I'd recommend it.

WOW! Excellent customer service!!!

UPDATE - Based on my original review (below), Alvantor contacted me immediately and is sending me a new tent. So proactive of them!!!! I wish every company cared this much about their customers and their reputation!! We had an older version of this pop up that was much better - it was super easy to fold up. It was used a lot and finally just reached the end of its life. The new one apparently has plastic bits that snap together at the base of the poles that probably make putting it away easier but ours arrived with all of those plastic bits broken and sticking out if the bag.

Difficult assembly

It was lightweight and compact once folded, but the assembly and disassembly was difficult. Specifically, the steps of unplugging and struts from one another was difficult to accomplish. After using the tent a few times, some sand got into the opening where the end of struts need to be inserted and once they were inserted, it was near impossible to get them out again. You have to lubricate the opening or something, otherwise, this step is way too cumbersome.

Amazing and small sun shade. A little tricky to fold back up. EXCELLENT customer service.

This sun shade is great! It's great to bring to the beach, small and easy to manage. It's a little tricky to fold back up but got easier each time I did it. Here's the thing now, my kiddo has some swim stuff where parents aren't allowed and she has to manage everything herself carry it in and out of the pool deck, etc. It worked perfectly! She could not fold it back up herself. When I did fold it back up the last time one of the plastic connector pieces broke. I contacted the company - Alvantor - and I was so surprised! They returned my email, I told them what happened and they are providing me a replacement. I am so happy with this company for standing behind their product. It's Amazon so you never know what you are going to get, and I got a kind and respectful and communicative interaction with customer service and resolved my problem. I'll update when I receive the new and improved product. Supposedly, it's easier to fold.

Spacious tent; as advertised!

We used this tent a couple of times this weekend and it’s as advertised. Like others, I practiced opening and closing in my living room before we went to the beach. I’m so glad we did as it was very windy when I took it down the first time. A couple of notes, prior to snapping the two plastic pieces together (to make the two circles) be sure to knock the sand out. I was driving myself crazy trying to shove them together before I realized it was plugged with sand. Also, be sure to use the sand bags. The first time (on a very windy day) we tied two the the strings and placed two in the pockets of the tent. The second day we did all four in the tent pockets since it wasn’t as windy. I’m 5’9” and fit great (stretched out) with a tall 3 y/o and an 11 week old. My husband 6’7” didn’t sit in it with us but he went in later and rested comfortably (knees bent) with the baby. While the tent definitely blows with the wind, it provided great shade, coverage and enough privacy for me to nurse (with a nursing cover also). This suited our needs very well! Great ‘pop up’ beach tent

Excellent product just what I wanted, a quick and easy to erect beach sun tent that’s big enough for adults to sit in as well as the children. It quite literally ‘pops’ up in a second but folds back down into an easy to carry lightweight disc in it’s own carry bag. Quick efficient delivery at a good value price... what’s not to like. Can’t comment on it’s longevity but it seems well made so I’ve no reason to think it won’t last

Great product and lightweight

Great product, easy to use once you’ve got the hang of it, but the sealed bag in which it was packed did not contain the elasticated band to hold it together when you pack it away.

Broke as soon as I tried folding it

The tent pole snapped near the connector the first time I was folding it up. I returned it and now get to have the extra hassle of calling customer service in trying to track down the extra $20 in shipping (I paid $40 and Amazon only covers $20) I had to pay to return it.

Fantastic product

I have had similar products by other brands in the past, but none were actually as worth the spend as this tent. It's roomy, sturdy, and setup and dismantling are extremely easy

Un po' più larga non guasterebbe

La tenda è dotata di sacchetti e picchetti per la sabbia, dietro è sfinestrata.Non l'ho provata al mare, l'ho solo aperta per vedere se tutto fosse okay.La trovo un po' stretta sinceramente.
