Great jeans for the money…

Amazon Essential Jeans are a great deal for the money…. Or at least they were. I bought a bunch bunch of these in different styles a few weeks ago for $21 each. Suddenly last week they jumped in price to $28…and then this week they increased in price again to $38. Now they aren’t such a great deal as they are priced at the same price as many name brand jeans like Levis & Lee's. The denim they are made from is on the thin side compared to those name brand jeans, so I can’t recommend them at the current $38 price. If they go down to the low $20s again, then yes. Buy em.

4" zipper

well, i like the pants, front pockets are not as deep as USA brands, but my hand fit comfortable reaching in. my wallet fit in front pocket well. ( chiropractors get business when u sit on your wallet because its in the back pocket) that being said, the zipper is about 4 inches long. i dont know about the rest of you men, but my junk just aint attached that close to my belly button. and i dont want to drop my drawers in the mens room.. so,, i only gave a 4 star rating. for a dollar they could have put a longer zipper in the pants.

Strong smell

I like the pants and they fit as expected, however there was a very strong mothball type odor. It was so strong I didn't want to wear them when I opened them. The smell slightly leaked into the clothes I washed them with, I'm sure it will fade in 1-2 more washes. 4/5 for this reason though.

I need the 28" length - not available in department stores

I am five foot seven inches and the 29" length jeans are too long for me. The 29" length are the shortest I can find in department stores. Am I so unusual that men's clothes are not designed for me? I tried to find a 28" length in the boys section, but apparently boys sizes are marked differently and I couldn't figure out a compatible size (but I didn't ask for help). I was pleased to find that Amazon offers pants available in 28" length. I was a little skeptical in ordering Amazon brand jeans as I had never heard of them before, but was very pleased when I received them. They are every bit the quality of popular brand name jeans, They fit well and are very comfortable. I will be buying more of these in the future.

Comfortable

First of all, these jeans are very comfortable and it was great to find my size (28X28). It was also a good price. I may be nit-picking, but the only things that prevented me from giving it a 5th star are: 1 - The zipper for the fly doesn't extend down far enough; 2 - Although the front pockets are nice and deep, the openings at the top seem slightly too narrow; 3 - The belt loops on the front are really close together so it may be a problem if you like to wear big belt buckles. Despite the items I mentioned above, I really like the fit and feel of these pants. I will order the "regular" and "slim" fit variations to see if they may be a bit more to my liking.

Would be perfect with a full sized zipper

I really like these jeans. It's hard to find size 35X29, so it's nice to have so many sizes. Everything is great on these, except the zipper is too short. Makes it hard to get your stuff out. At my age (62), sometimes you need to do a "quick draw". It's tough with these!

A bit large in the waist.

My regular jeans have been washed so many times that they can be a bit hard to get on the first day, plus the gut is larger. I ordered my regular size 34-30 because I figured the stretch would be enough to still wear the same size. I was surprised that the waist was actually a bit to large 35, or 36 without relying on the stretch. Have not washed yet, so maybe they will shrink a bit. Also legs are a bit tight, but the right length.

Seem to fit well

I needed an inexpensive pair of jeans for work ( my job can be messy at times) but haven't worn them there yet but I have worn them on my off hours and so far I like them. I wanted to add one of the reasons I think they say to wash the jeans before wearing them is because some color washes out but it didn't affect how the jeans look. Matter of fact I plan to buy more.

Good Quality.....but they stink!

I bought two pairs, one black, one blue....as usual with jeans they advise washing before wearing them, which is a good job as the black pair had a noticable smell, probably some treatment from the factory to keep bugs away or something, but these blue ones were way worse smelling... The kind of smell that would stop people sitting next to you on the bus! I've washed them now three times, each time with a rinse using a capfull of Zoflora Linen scented disinfectant, and although it fades with each wash it is still noticable..... One more wash & if i can still smell the stuff they're getting returned. As i say the other black pair are ok, one wash was all it took. On the plus side the quality of the fabric and costruction seems great, good thick denim, well stitched, and a wide variety of size options to get a pair that fit where they should, and the price is ok too. So, unless you're a slave to big brand marketing give these a try...but if you get a smelly pair send them back, you should have to wash this many times to get the smell out.

6,2 about 110kilo Probably too much room in 36x33 for me

Don’t normally have the dilemma of trousers coming up too roomy, being a bit of a fat twat and all that’ so originally went for my normal size of 38x34 and far too big. Bought the 36x33 and their still on the roomy side, but smart casual enough for work. I would advise going at least one size below your normal choices if your about my size. I would say the style is possibly more boot cut at the ankle, not straight or at all skinny. Otherwise, happy to review these as I think their probably very good value. Haven’t washed more than twice yet, was thinking about a hot wash for 38x34’s to see if they might tighten up a bit?

Pretty good jeans for the money

These jeans are pretty good for the money. I'm usually a 34" waist which is what I bought, but they were a tad too tight. Sent them back (with free returns) and ordered a 36" which were a tad loose. My wife is very good at needle work and turned them in for me & they're fine now. (Although it did upset the ego to go up a size). So sizing can be a bit hit & miss. They wash well with no loss of colour and no shrinking.

Not bad

Nice to find such a variety of sizes, I'm a 42 waist but a 28 leg which is tough to find anywhere. The legs are a bit baggy though which I can deal with, the main reason for the 3* was that they smell weird. From opening the packaging through to washing them 10+ times they still have a strange smell. It not as noticeable now but at first it was a strong odour.

Comfortable jeans

Very smart, comfortable jeans & excellent for the price I paid. For prospective buyers, I would describe the fit as ‘relaxed’, in that they are slightly wider at the thigh but I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re baggy. Really pleased & would definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
