Great water filter

Overall the product works very well. Does a great job at make our water much better tasting. 4 stars on this one only because the filter housing is such soft plastic, almost makes you feel you will break the housing installing and removing filters.

Works Great! Easy to Intall! READ THE DIRECTIONS FOR NO FAIL INSTALLATION

I purchased this system in 2020 and consider it one of the best investments I've made to save money and reduce plastic waste in my home. I use this faucet to refill our aluminum water bottles multiple times daily, to refill all the dog bowls and water dispensers inside and out (I'm a professional pet sitter with 3 of my own). We use it to fill our pots/pans for cooking on the stove, to water our plants inside, to fill the coffee pot and tea kettle, and we even use it to refill our two 3 gallon jugs that sit atop our hot/cold water dispenser (eliminating the need for our previous water delivery service). Now, we rarely buy/use bottled water, thereby saving money and reducing waste. It has a built-in battery alarm that notifies us when the filters need to be replaced...usually about every 6 months. They are not cheap, mind you - at $75 a set - but each new set comes with a new battery too. And, sets are available at Amazon and Walmart for the exact same price. Note the difference in only 7 months between the old filters and the new (bright white) filters (last photo). It blows my mind each time I change them out how disgusting tap water really is. And, although many folks complain about the threads and how it leaks, or had install problems, I experienced a TINY bit of bubbling leaking on the first cartridge at initial install as well. However, because I read the clear and concise instruction manual cover to cover before attempting to install the system AND followed along with the instructions as I was installing it, I knew immediately what to do. The instructions state (multiple times) to NOT use the provided cartridge tool to tighten the cartridges into the housing - just hand tighten when placing them into it. The tool is only used to open the canister, after being removed by nd, when it is time to change the filters - because a serious 'vacuum' is created - and, you cannot possibly open the canister itself with your hand due to the suction/vacuum seal. Again, that is the only time you use the canister tool - to open the canister for cartridge filter changing. So, read the directions for install, and do exactly what they say, and you won't have an issue. The faucet is very convenient, and the system keeps the water tasting far and above anything bottled, processed, filtered that we could ever buy. Otherwise, the 'oil rubbed bronze', as mentioned by other reviewers, is lighter/brighter than most faucets/hardware of the same color range. I deducted 1 star for this, yet I would give this product 4.5 stars overall - if Amazon allowed. I chose not to paint the faucet to match and, as you can see in the 3rd photo, it looks great.

Easy to install. Great taste

This was easy to install. The tee valve could have been a better quality as there were metal shavings in it. Cleaned it out and no other burrs observed so used it. The tee valve does not have a shutoff. You need to read the installation steps to find what size drill bit to use to make the hole in the counter. It would have been nice to have a legend to tell you what specific tools and sizes to use as a quick reference or for those that may be a little less technically inclined. Otherwise, its easy to install. Flavour of water is great. I always liked my jug water filter from a major brand but this is way better. Ran 20 minutes after install before use per instructions. No weird aftertaste and no odours. Added a tee to connect my fridge water and ice maker. Same great taste from fridge as well and I don’t need to use the fridge filter. Has the most certifications that I saw for an under counter filter system. Highly recommended!

It works well but might have some installation design issue.

When my plumber tried to install it to my kitchen cabinet, he said it has some design issue on the connection between kitchen pipes and its tubes. He bought another part to install it in the right way, but still not sure its connection and asked me to check from time to time. After installing, it looks good and has not any issues until now.

The media could not be loaded. The installation went well and there were no leaks initially, but that was about it. After running the water to flush the filters for a much extended period of time, I noticed very small particles floating in the water. Sometimes they would turn into an oily swirl in the water too. I disassembled the filters and found alot of what I assume was plumbers grease all over two of the filter housing threads. I cleaned off the excess and reassembled, but then it leaked badly from the filter housing. It appears the manufacturer slathered grease on the housing threads to seal defective parts rather than replace them. If I had not noticed the small bits floating in the water, I wouldnt have disassembled until a filter change and the unit would have been out of warranty. Shoddy assembly and seemingly an attempt to sell defective product should get them zero stars.

Much faster flow than the smaller model! Great tasting clean water!

I bought this to replace the smaller AQ-5300 with the shorter filters. These filters are interchangeable with the smaller AQ-5300, so it's easy to just swap these for the smaller filters. Water tastes great, just like the smaller version. I didn't notice any difference there, other than that we definitely needed to change the old filters out. The biggest difference, however, is the flow rate. These bigger filters allow a significantly faster water flow, meaning less time waiting to fill a glass, bottle or kettle. I am very happy with the upgrade, and if these filters are as good as the old ones, I am expecting nice clean tasting water for at least a year, before a replacement is really needed. We are only two people in our household, so that does mean the filters see a bit less use. Still, these filters seem to last a very long time. We used the smaller model for a full year, and I only noticed a slight change in the taste of the water after 10-11 months. Still tasted great at 12 months - no chlorine taste, but it wasn't as good as when the filter was new. We have had no leaks or other issues with the filter itself. Everything is fine in terms of the hardware, even now after a full year. No leaks or signs of cracks in the filter housings. All in all, I highly recommend the AQ-5300+ and the smaller AQ-5300. But, given the small difference in price, and the higher flow rate and longer filter life, I would pick the bigger AQ-5300+.

Excellent filter

This was a very simple install. The taste of the water coming out is way better than tap or my jug of filtered water. Be aware that since it is heavily filtered, the water does not flow very fast. Worth the wait though.
