They'll eventually fall apart, but they're not terrible for the price.

These are inexpensive water shoes which are falling apart fairly quickly. I've used mine five or ten times, and they now have holes in them along the toes. I think this is because I stood on my toes in a swimming pool which has a somewhat rough floor. The treads on the soles are wearing away, too. The insoles came unglued after a few uses, so once in a while I have to shove them back into the shoes while I swim. When I pull my feet out, the insoles come out. A couple of weeks after ordering these, I came across a sale at Costco for some sneaker-like Speedo water shoes which were marked down to about eight dollars from fifteen or so. The Speedo insoles are also a bit loose, but in general, the shoes are much higher quality and have already outlasted the TECS shoes. I initially chose these because men's shoes tend to be wider than women's, and as a woman with slightly wide feet, I've been pinched by other mail-ordered water shoes. If you're in the same boat, try getting these two sizes smaller than your regular women's size (so, for example, if you normally wear a size 8 women's shoe, order a size 6 men's shoe). Since I was able to try on the Speedos at the store, I ended up with a women's shoe one full size up from my regular size (i.e. a 9 instead of an 8).

Replacement for Oxide

I bought these to replace a pair of worn Oxide brand aquasocks. I accidentally bought a pair of sz 9 Oxide aquasocks. I ordinarily wear these as slippers with wool socks in the winter months, but may buy another pair for outdoor wear and water sports. The sole has uniform nubby bumps which appear to be very grippy.

Basically a one use product, but does its job for the most part during that one use.

Purchased these for use at Holiday Worlds Waterpark, where I was for about 5 hours. Only used them while in the Waterpark. The good? Fit snugly for the size I ordered, I liked that. I have very sensitive feet and crummy ankles due to club feet, and these protected my feet from the hot sidewalks. Also like the zip cord on the back of them to tighten around ankles. The bad? No support of any kind and no heal padding (which isn't a surprise for something like this). Why this gets 2 stars however is that near the end of the 5 hours, I felt the inside under my foot feel loose. When I finally took them off, the "soles" (which is used in the loosest sense of the word) had become unattached and mangled from the shoe. In other words, they cannot be used again.

Great kicks

I keep buying these water shoes because they are so comfortable for every day wear. They are very smart looking, to me. I like the style. I hope they will be available again next year.

Comfortable in th water and walking pool side as well

I wear a size 11 women and bought a size 10 men and I was concerned that they wouldn't stay on as I do my water aerobics. They do! Comfortable in th water and walking pool side as well. Let's see how they polder up to daily use.

Excellent for pool use

Excellent for pool use, NOT for strenuous outdoor use. The tiny nubs on the sole add just enough grip. I'd call them "pool slippers" rather than "water shoes."

Works great for Waverunner

I bought these for my fiance. He is a size 10 with a wide foot and they fit him very well. He has sensitive feet and they work pretty well for him. It be nice to have more colors to select from...other then that it's all good.

These shoes expand and contract better than most

We buy these for my husband, whose feet and ankes sometimes swell up. These shoes expand and contract better than most. My only complaint is that the good, nubby grip on the soles wears down too quickly, leaving key parts of the sole dangerously smooth.

VERY POOR quality but good customer service

I purchased the blue pair for my husband and the purple pair for myself for our honeymoon in Jamaica (December 2016). My husband is not much of a swimmer, so he stayed on the beach and only came into the water occasionally, which is why we were surprised that the insole on my husband's shoe came out after 2-3 days. For the remainder of our honeymoon, it was a struggle for him to wear the shoes. The insole would bunch up when he put his foot into the shoe or when he walked around - he had to constantly take his shoes off to readjust the insole. And when he would take the shoe off, the insole would come out as well. As the more active swimmer, I was worried my shoes would fall apart too, but luckily they didn't. Upon seeing another reviewer here, with the same problem, I would say TECS definitely has a quality issue. I will say when I contacted TECS (via Amazon) and complained, they exchanged my husband's shoes with no issues. Pretty great customer service! I guess we will see how well his brand new shoes and my once worn shoes hold up during our next beach holiday...

I suggest ordering a smaller size unless you plan on wearing socks

Looks well made but the size 13 was way too big......I returned and reordered a smaller size. I finally got the exchanged size 12 for my size 13 feet and they fit great!

Great value! We've used them on a couple trips!

The little plastic grips on the shoes will wear off on the first day but its still better than walking barefoot over rocks. The sole will get all folded and out of place but I think that goes for all watershoe soles.
