Very warm
Very nice jacket! Can’t wait to use it to ski.

Excellent jacket with two features I don't like
I have had several items from this brand and they have turned me into a big fan of it. So I was happy to have a chance to try this jacket. And now that I've worn it for a while, I have to say that it's not my favorite. It is a very well made, warm, weatherproof jacket with a generous hood and soft lining. But it has two features that I really wish I could change. The first is that it doesn't have hand pockets. Instead it has the patch pockets, which are OK, but not nearly as handy as slit hand pockets. I've seen jackets that have both right together and I'd like to have seen Arctix try that on this design. Hand pockets with or even without zippers are way more useful for things you want to access frequently. So you should notice that you're not getting hand pockets on this jacket and weigh how much that matters to you before you order. The other feature I dislike is that there's a double front zipper control. You can zip up both pulls and then unzip the lower part if you want. I see essentially zero benefit to me from this, but maybe it's a ski feature that I don't understand. The problem is that it makes it a lot harder to connect the zipper pulls and close the zipper. It's not worth that extra trouble to me to get some small benefit from the design. Again, you should consider this zipper issue before ordering. If the two points I don't like do not deter you, you will probably find this to be an outstanding jacket. If, like me, they do seem like drawbacks to you also, you should keep looking. I probably won't wear this jacket much because of the design, even though it has a lot of quality features as well.

Good fit, warm, could have used more thought in the pockets
Looks great. Well, not when it arrived, I had to put it through the wash to get rid of all the wrinkles, but NOW it looks really nice. It is really warm and fits me really well. I like that you can also unzip from both the top and the bottom. I'll undo the bottom if I need to pick something up or if I'm bending down to pet the dog or something. That comes in handy. And the zipper, so far, feels like good, sturdy quality. I think this will hold together well. Also, there is a buttoned portion you can fasten together to cover the zipper, which is good when I want to be bundled up well for a long time. For some reason there aren't as many buttons at the top of the jacket, maybe that is a design feature I'm not really hip on. But not sure why they have buttons with unmatched fasteners.... I just wish the pockets were better. The ones at the waste only open at the top, which means I have to put my hands in from the top, which is an awkward angle. So for the most part, I rarely put my hands in my pockets like I usually do with most coats. Also, unlike most coats, there isn't a good breast pocket. There's a front one on the right side, which would be nice if I were left handed. There is a hidden one on the inside left breast, but it is tiny and struggles to hold anything of modern size. A small iPhone would be nice, but my Galaxy S22 barely fits and just leaves a big bulge in the front. So overall, I like it, but they could have put a lot more effort into the pockets.

A bit unconventional, but a lovely jacket regardless
So the claims on this jacket really caught my attention, especially the promise of low temperature warmth. When it came, I almost thought it was the wrong item, cause the jacket was really very light and in truth doesnt look like much. However, when I put it on, I was quite surprised, I still dont know what material they used, but the jacket indeed is as warm as they claim, more importantly its not as heavy as other jackets that offer comparable protection. I got the gray one, which is a decent color and looks like the pictures. A couple of things to have in mind, this jacket leans to the loose fitting spectrum, so if you want something fitting, you may want to order a size smaller or your exact size but definitely not a size bigger. I am 5”11 and about 178lbs so I usually wear a large, but a large for me was quite loose on the arms, even thought the length was okay. Also the pockets dont have any padding in them, so if you stick your hands in them, they dont offer much protection form the cold, the stitching in my opinion can be better but depending on your tolerance for attention to detail, it may or may not be a big deal, it does look good on me I must say and has a stylish but rugged touch to it. I do think its a good buy, maybe not as your number one go to jacket, but for those days when you are nor ready to deal with the weight of gearing up, this is your jacket

very cozy
Love the flannel look of the jacket. It's insulated, light, very warm, and cozy during the colder months. High quality and you get what you pay for. Haven't tried the water resistant, but the material feels and looks water resistant. I see this as a more casual wear jacket for the winter than an athletic wear jacket.

Good casual jacket, probably not for extreme sports
Well-designed, warm and comfortable jacket. It runs a bit large - the size S is big for me, and I am 5 feet 5, about 120lb. The issue I have is that this jacket is advertised for winter sports. Frankly, I don't think it is suitable. You can't tighten up the bottom or the sleeves to prevent snow from getting under. But it is perfect for casual wear in winter. The material, looks water resistant but this is no gor-tex. Overall, a good jacket for a relatively low price.

I REALLY Like This Coat
I ordered one size larger than I normally wear so that I could slip it on over my other winter coat if I want to. I live on the shore of a sizeable lake and the winter winds can be brutal, so I often layer coats. I like the coat a lot. The double pull zipper is easy to zip, but I really do wish the zipper were brass rather than synthetic material. I have no indication that the zipper will fail, but I still would prefer a brass zipper. The pockets are sufficiently large to easily hold a set of winter weight gloves and stocking cap. The shell appears to be a water resistant material while the inside looks like a soft warm blanket. I think the coat is pretty good in general, but I cannot evaluate it's insulation because I have never worn it as a stand-alone coat. I can say that, with it layered over another coat, I have been kept warm.
