Superior, non-toxic ingredients, shiny hair, great aroma

This shampoo is superb for several reasons. #1, it is EWG Verfied, which means that the ingredients are about as benign as you can get. This is why I decided to try it in the first place. I am extremely sensitive and often allergic to fragrances, so I am pleased to report I did not have a problem with the fragrances used in this product. In fact, I love the scent—lightly citrusy with undertones of vanilla, reminiscent of Jean Naté, but with more vanilla notes. Not overwhelming! Yet so nice, it smells edible. It rinses out easily, which is another thing I usually have trouble with. After shampooing my hair, which tangles easily and is very hard to comb out, I usually condition it and then, while the conditioner is still in my hair, I comb out the tangles using a wide tooth comb/pick. What I noticed was that after using this stuff, I did not lose much hair combing it out. That’s a plus I wasn’t expecting. I did not see much in the way of volumizing—sorry, but what I do see is that it makes my hair very shiny and unusually nice looking. I’ll take it! This shampoo is extremely light, which is important in volumizing hair, or at least not going in the opposite direction. Because it is so light, it does not weigh down my hair or cause it to clump together. My hair type is extremely fine, a notch above baby fine hair, rather thin, and longish. It tends to look oily the day after I wash it, so I appreciate how easy this shampoo is to rinse out—otherwise hair care would take too much time. This shampoo is slightly gold in hue, but transparent. The transparency makes it hard to see how much of it I’m pouring into my palm, but I would estimate it’s the diameter of a Kennedy dollar, if you remember how big that is! Perhaps that’s a 1.5 inch diameter. I don’t feel like I’m having to use oodles of this stuff to get my hair fully clean. On day two after washing it fully, I have been able to use a very tiny amount on my fingertips to clean the roots of my bangs and hairline. My hair still looks clean afterward and the shampoo does not seem to dry it out. In summary, this is a high-quality, non-toxic shampoo with the nicest fragrance I’ve ever smelled in a hair product.

Excellent shampoo

Took me a few shampoos to realize how great this product is. Thickens my fine hair and gives it body like no other has. Spilled a little first few uses because a lot comes out quickly. But you don't need much. Love it. Thank you for making this. Best part is cruelty free!

Damaging and drying

So I am a hairstylist and have some intense research in my field. I meant to get the clarifying shampoo which looks similar but got this one instead. I usually hate volumizing because of the intense damage it causes hair but I decided to try it. I ended up with extremely dry and damaged hair. When I used my straightener my hair shriveled (my hair is somewhat fine and blonde. So moisturizing products are a MUST or else this can happen for my hair. Keep in mind I still used my conditioner Its a 10, but it clearly didn’t help enough.) I recommend the clarifying instead. It will give the movement and light weightlessness without the damage. This product does what it says I just hated it.

really stings eyes badly

I only bought this since it was EWG verified. Nothing special about it, it's a decent enough shampoo but if you get any of it in your eyes, WOW! I have never had a shampoo burn/sting my eyes like this one! Not going to get rid of it, but not going to order it again.

Best Thick Creamy Lotion Ever!

An excellent moisturizing thick lotion that doesn't feel like you have an extra layer on your skin. The scent is light and not overbearing. Best of all, it's EWG Verified. The price is a bit steep but I love this lotion so much, I bite the bullet and just buy it! You won't be disappointed.

The new formula IS NOT EWG APPROVED

The old formula (white bottle) used to have no fragrance or sodium benzoate in it. They changed it and now it scored a 5 on EWG. (Out of 10. The lower the number, the better. They claimed it's a 0.) Fragrance is considered bad because it's all a bunch of chemicals to make a nice scent. It's not mentioned what chemicals are used under that vague term. Sometimes, companies use 30 to 50 chemicals behind the term "Fragrance". The scent is nice, but there are too many unknowns about its whereabouts... It also made my hair super greasy after 2 days. I'm all for supporting Canadian companies, but this is too dishonest...

Shampoo For The Year!

Buying this shampoo in bulk is so economical! I wash my hair 2x a week and this beats buying a bottle every few months. It's gentle enough on hair and body, suds and washes hair well. The scent is light and clean-smelling. I wasn't keen on the packaging and an easy solution was to use several bottles I had lying around. I now have 5 bottles (or so) of shampoo, enough to last me for the year! Definitely recommend this EWG-certified company and their products!

This shampoo is very, very runny and comes wrapped in a large plastic bag.

I ordered 2 sets of sh&cond and 2 body wash. I was exceptionally disappointed that each of the 6 items were INDIVIDUALLY wrapped in plastic bags. This shampoo gets an 8/10 from me for quality, but it gets a 2/10 for environnementally responsible packaging, and the sheer amount of water they are including in their formula.
