Worked as described

Works great - secure
This clevis pin works great on my old Maxum 2100. The bimini orginally had thumb screws but of course these are now on the bottom of the lake somewhere. Having much easier to insert/remove and being tethered just makes so much more sense. Just pulled out one of the screws and screwed it back in around the tether. My only concern is will the tether rust. I'm in fresh water and the boat is covered most of the time but time will tell...

I would recommend
I bought this to replace one that had broken on my boat. It fit well and appears to be of good quality

Good but not great - there are better alternatives
This design is just as what came on my original boat. the problem being over time the cable will corrode (mine has only seen fresh water by the way). The whole unit needs to be replaced while with other designs you can simply replace the cable via some parts at your local home depot. Check out my other review - I found a better design after I purchased this one first. I also had to drill out the stainless steel rivet holding this to the boat - ruined 2 drill bits before I went to my dremmel and cut it off. Word of advice SS rivets are very hard, start with the dremmel and just be careful not to mar your boat fitting.

The pin is too short. It needs to be ...
The pin is too short. It needs to be about a 1/16th longer. It should also, have a pull ring on the pin, to make it easier to pull out.
