Does what it says

Works good on my DeWalt Planer. A lot of people complain about how hard it is to empty in the reviews. If you empty it before it gets full, it’s not a problem at all. I use a 4.5” hose clamp and just empty it at the end of the day. Works fine.

Difficult to empty

The biggest drawback to this bag is it is difficult to empty. The only opening is the 5" port where the dust goes in. Emptying the bag often causes more of a mess than not using it, kind of defeating the purpose. I'm replacing mine with a different version that has a zippered bottom. I'm not worried about loss of suction since I'm using this with a DeWalt planer (with a built in blower). I just need to be able to empty the bag without the hastle.

Worth the money

Attached this to a bounce house blower and made dust collector for planer. Some people complaining no zipper and hard to empty? Really? It's not a big deal people....easy to deal with

Effective and economic bag

I liked the ease of applicability of the bag and the suction power but I was especially drawn to the value for the money and the durability of this product. Great bag!

For the price it's awsome. Just need a bit of DIY to make it perfect.

As title say, it's not perfect, but for 19$ it's less than the cost of the material if you wanted to make one yourself. This is for DIYers and I'll guess you know how to sew. Adding a zipper is quite easy and make the job of emptying a lot easier. While adding the zipper I also remade all the overlock with a tight zigzag pattern as after only about a month the material was already fraying. While doing it I got carried away and remade all the stitch as well with very tight stich. Mass and fast production need large stiches but they don't hold up as well as tight stiches. Still 4 stars because it's doing it's job and I'm not expecting something over what I received for 19$ and going to fabricville buying the material and making one would have cost me around the same.

Excellent dust bag

The bag came fairly quickly and is now mounted to a stand I built for my Dewalt DW735 planer. I do not have any dust issues at all and the setup captures about 99.9% of the wood chips. My only feedback to Big Horn would be - a zipper would be nice. It's not that hard to empty the bag but a zipper would make things so much easier. If you make one with a zipper, let me know and I will buy one as well!

Simple solution to dust collection.

Works better than my 2000$ dust collection system. Installed in seconds, there is a lot to be said for low tech solutions.

Needs a zipper!

I am planing a stack of 2x10 and 2x12's. Lots of shavings! So must empty this bag every 5 minutes. What a pain with no zipper. Otherwise would be an awesome bag. Edit: I had a friend put a heavy-duty zipper into the bag. What an improvement! This company should definitely add zippers.

Good but could be better

The bag arrived on time and is good quality. One thing that I thought it had was a pull string around the neck. I’ve had to use a hose clamp which works great but since I’ve attached mine to my planer I’m constantly having to empty it which is such a pain with the hose clamp. Add a neck tie of some sort and it will be perfect!!
