It takes a little work - but well worth the effort.

I made videos while I put this together to try and help others learn from my mistakes! I enjoyed the challenge - it took me about 2 hours all by myself even with all my starts and stops and looking up a video at the end to get the top part on correctly. Over all, just keep at it. I though the assembly instructions could have been clearer because the pictures leave a lot to the imagination. I recommend checking out assembly videos first - that, I think, would have cut down on a couple of re-dos I encountered. Overall, I think I'm going to love growing a couple of tomato plants in it. I live alone, so I'm not wanting a ton of tomatoes!

Not perfect, but better than you think

Note: I’m a gardener who gets his hands dirty, not some paid reviewer who pimps stuff Initial impressions were (probably) wrong 1) Seems pricey, but may not be in hindsight. Everything is plastic any more, it's hard to find any other material. Finding a comparable item, with same/similar features, has been difficult if not impossible, so price may not be bad after all. 2) Seemed flimsy (I almost returned when I first opened box because of this), but it is not when properly put together. I was pleasantly surprised with how sturdy it is once assembled correctly. Dislikes 1) At the time of this writing all units being sold on Amazon are either damaged or opened returns. I would really like to be able to purchase new, not kinda-sorta-but-not-really new. 2) One piece missing [T junction], likely due to prior issue (not essential, but still wanted, solved with creative redneck engineering) 3) Planter is not hydroponic in any way, shape or form (hyrdoponic = no soil). For my own purposes I don’t really care, but it is misleading for packaging to suggest otherwise. Likes 1) I can add water directly to reservoir or just water it in from above and let water percolate down 2) Reservoir can be closed to keep mosquitoes out 3) Reservoir water level gauge is great, I can check the water level from my kitchen window 4) Depending on how you prune, planter could hold multiple plants 5) Not at all top heavy 6) Not that hard to put together (some reviewers must have never played with legos as children) 7) I’ve had it for several months now, it is working out quite well (see photo) Summary: Definitely better than I thought it would be when I first unpackaged it; still seems a bit pricey, but to be truthful I can’t find anything else of comparable value, with these features, relative to cost, so perhaps not; I am planning to purchase several more in near future (once used/damaged boxes run out).

Does the job, looks good, but flimsy

This planter looks good, and it should definitely get the job done for some tomatoes. I like how light it is, however, the plastic is thin and flimsy. As you can see in the picture, one part of it was shattered. Not a deal breaker, but definitely annoying. All in all though, I might consider buying a second one for more plants and to keep things uniform

Two broken pieces

This seems unnecessarily difficult to assemble. You need to be careful to tap each small piece in with a hammer and the plastic braces in the top corners are flimsy. One screw was stripped, and the other brace cracked. I’m not sure why they made everything in so many pieces. I think they tried to keep the packaging small, but the rods would have beeen sturdier not broken in 4 pieces. There was no way to contact the manufacturer to get replacement parts either.

Quality not to my expectations

Pieces where missing, not as solid as I expected it to be, but I had plants that needed to be planted. I kept it but I wouldn't buy another one.

Amazing Product ❤️

I absolutely LOVE this product. I only purchase two because I typically do not do well with growing things so I thought I would give it a try. Not only was it absolutely easy to set up but it’s a perfect size for my deck. I would love to re-order two or three more for next year to grow a few more things. I have had family and friends over who absolutely love them and want to order them too (unfortunately they are currently out of stock). I currently have 3 different types of tomato plants and 1 banana pepper plant growing and I have had amazing results so far. The only suggestion I would make is to possibly include or be able to purchase an additional set of polls to be able to make the frame higher as my plants are doing amazingly well and actually growing taller than the frame.

This Was Amazing!!

I love this purchase. Sturdy quality, German engineering. Very strong, easy to put together, and it looks beautiful. It's not listed, but they give you a water indicator level that fits inside the pot so you know when to add water. I highly recommend this purchase and will surely purchase again.

good for small spaces

don't move it full.... it is good if you build it and never touch it again, it is meant to fill and just use., not move or bump in to. it'll hold up fine but not take a lot of abuse. On the other hand the customer service was fantastic, really the best ever... I tried to move mine full, it fell apart and shattered, I admitted this and asked if I can purchase the bottom part that was destroyed. They replaced the entire thing for free! Trellis and everything! I was amazed... made the hefty price tag worth it :)

pot avec tuteur

je vais surement en acheté un autre le mois prochain belle article il ne reste plus qu'a mettre 2 plan de tomates dedans et attendre les résultats. j'en ai acheté un deuxième mais je crois que je vais en acheter un autre pour m'en servir comme pot et le tuteur pour allonger mes deux autres tuteurs vraiment merveilleux et ca pousse comme pas possible et en plus facile a installer et surtout on a pas a s'inquiéter pour l'eau avec le niveau très heureuse et très satisfaite !

Decent Product, could do with better marketing and more trellis

It was a decent product, i ended up getting 2 for the Tomato season. Pros - it is really good with the space I have on my balcony. which I have a good morning and afternoon sun on. The trellis is decent with a few cons, it helped out midseason while holding up the tomato plants with ether wire, tape, etc. It was pretty easy to assemble (with a few cons). In the first image i show 6 tomato plants (3 pairs of 2) and 3 singles. Ended up with many cherry tomatos at the end of the 2022 season. The base can also take a beating if you have to reposition it around your area. Cons - not a fan of the trellis being a unique diameter, as it was hard to get additional trellis-like parts from local stores, even if it wasnt the same "grade" as these parts. At least 3 of my tomato plants managed to get to double the size and i had to use wood and electrical tape (image 2). More Cons - Shipping/structure... as many have reviewed, BOTH packages were damaged along the green cover plates and almost every "clip-on" part had many broken "pins", especially the guard between the soil and the reservoir. Overall, as i mentioned its a decent product and ill see if it survives a 2nd year after the long Canadian Winter.

cheap, thin, terrible quality

I didn't even finish trying to assemble this utter garbage product. The plastic was so thin that it was warped & wouldn't click into place well. I have my doubts about how well it would even hold together (if you could snap the pieces together) once filled with soil. I didn't bother to look at the cover I ordered as well, since I had no use for it without the corresponding planter. I wound up buying a similar but MUCH higher quality planter at Costco for less. Don't waste your money (& time to send it back because it's crap).
