Hard to store

Happy with this vacuum cleaner
The media could not be loaded. Update 03/07/2020 I changed my ratings from two stars to four stars because I discovered there is a button on top of the vacuum that turns on the motor, which makes it easier to push on carpet and quite effective in picking up pet hair. The manual does not tell you to turn on this button nor that it exisits. You only discover it through trouble shooting. This vacuum is better than an upright and I highly recommend it for households with pets. It makes getting under the bed and sofa so easy and it is great for hard surface floors and carpet too. I am keeping my original review below so that you can see that people who are not aware of that button will become frustrated with this vacuum cleaner and return it. ++++++++++++ PRO: I like how light this vacuum is and how long the cord is. On hard floors it glides across it. CONS: No on board tools. No small motorized head for cleaning cat trees, sofas and small spaces on the floor. Absolutely horrible on carpet. I purchased this vacuum to replace my upright Bissell that just was not picking up fur on the carpet, and just was not doing justice picking up dirt under the bed and sofa. I was really excited from watching the commercial, but as soon as I hit the carpet in my bedroom I went over the fur in one spot 20 times, it was hard to push the vacuum over the carpet and all it did was roll the fur up into long rolls, it did not suck it up. This is a bust. I am really sad. I guess the name on this vacuum was just marketing spin. The video I uploaded shows me using the product. I did do another video to compare with an older Bissell upright vacuum, but can only upload one video per review. Conclusion: the old upright picked up the fur from the carpet, whereas this new pet canister vacuum does not pick up the fur from the carpet.

Can’t Decide If I Love…
I want to love this vacuum but there are some definite cons holding me back. *Pros first* I LOVE how well this reaches under furniture (main reason why I bought it)!! It picked up all the gunk under the beds, couches, nightstands and dressers. The light at the end of the floor nozzle is super helpful with this and the floor nozzle itself has EXCELLENT maneuverability and hugs edges of walls and corners very well. Nice, long cord length with retractable windup button. Extension tool is perfect for window sills, behind furniture, high crevices, etc. Great suction power. Picked up a TON of dog hair. *Cons* My back hurts and I’m exhausted after using this (and I’m relatively young and I workout). You must bend over to hit power button, which for me was about 8+ times in a 2500 sq ft house when I’d have to empty canister periodically. I also LOVE to vacuum baseboards and crevices, but again, you have to bend over to detach the motorized floor nozzle. The wand is actually a bit heavy especially when you’re pushing on carpets/rugs. Overall, this machine is definitely not great for vacuuming carpet/rugs even if it’s low pile. My house is mostly hard floors so I’m willing to tolerate it’s shortcomings on carpet. You also occasionally have to pick up the machine and carry it around tighter spaces (like hallways and bedrooms) because the machine itself is NOT as maneuverable as the wand. The “auto” sense button must be re-activated every time you turn the machine back on. Also annoying that there’s nowhere on the machine to hold the 2 little attachments. They’re not very big so I don’t see why Bissell couldn’t have found a spot. Overall, I would only recommend this vacuum if you mostly have hard floors, a more open floor plan, and can physically handle this vacuum.

Powerful Little Vacuum
This little vacuum works great and has a nice long hose and power cord. The carpet head pulls up pet hair and clean carpets very well! The wand extends to reach high places and the power head rotates to fit under beds and furniture with ease! I purchased a horse hair floor tool, but the carpet/floor tool that came with the vacuum works well. My main hurrah for this vacuum is not having to buy bags and filters! I empty the detachable compartment and wash it with the filters using an all purpose cleaner or dish soap weekly. When dry, I put it back together and all is clean and ready for next week. The vacuum never gets stinky like bagged vacuums.

One month in and it work great.
****Update: I revised my score based on usage. Our first Pet Eraser lasted almost two years. The hose inside the power foot broke in half. Search as I might I could not find a replacement piece for the model we bought. I tried finding a replacement foot but they were out of stock so we decided to buy a new vacuum. The new vacuum arrived August first. Today, August 29th, my husband was vacuuming the rug in the den and the plastic swivel part of the foot snapped in half. We vacuum two or three days a week but you would think something designed to pick up pet hair would last more than a month. We actually have a vacuum for each floor so it isn’t as if we are doing the entire house with one vacuum. Off to customer support to see if we can get a new part/power head. **** We have three dogs and six cats. We just bought a new house with carpet on the second floor. The previous owners were not very clean and had a dog of their own. I bought this vacuum for the new house because our old one was worn out. The first time I vacuumed the master bedroom the canister was completely full. It sucked down deep into the carpet and pulled out all the old and new dirt and dog hair. I love that the cord is so long. I don’t have to do as much replugging as I did with our old vacuum. My husband was using it and shut it off to move something. When he tried to turn it back on it wouldn’t start. When I heard what he was fussing about I told him to check the filter. Once he cleared the dirt and hair off of the filter it started right back up. So far I am very pleased with this purchase.
