Great product I would buy again

i bought I used one and came with a broken part. the I called customer service and immediately and great customer service they replace it and rush delivery .. so in the next days i found out how great this product was.. the Autofeed works perfectly and its super light even my wife help out on this man's duty.. i love my weed eater.. product is great and amazing customer service... totally recomend to my friends and family

Powerfull wacker that is built to last

Got this to replace my old black and decker wacker (same model) that gave out after almost 6 yrs of heavy use. It does eat up line if you have tough weeds, but if you buy line in bulk (1800ft) instead of the prewound spools it is economical. There is an adaptor you can buy to use blades instead of line, but it is only recommended for horizontal wacking, not vertical. Blades will wear down faster used vertically.

Works well, a bit heavy and off balance

Off balance 'cause almost all weight at cutting head. Needs shoulder strap for me (6'1". 210#). Had to remove the wheel as serves no purpose and is in way, but seems twice as powerful as my 4.5 amp (although it only seems this way). Cuts fast and if not careful you'll cut grass to dirt, so you have to pay attention.

Powerful and impressive.

Bought this string trimmer 2 months ago and have been using it since. Am really impressed with the tool. It has plenty of power to mow the weeds down, the auto feed works seamlessly and doesn't seem to waste cordage. I'd buy it again. Very happy with the item.

Well thought out product.

For me, best grass trimmer i have used to date. Have just a small back yard but grass, weeds, crabgrass all grow like there feed miracle grow or something haa, ha! Had a weed Wacker with a smaller motor that i had to take several passes to get it cut down to size, and especially the crabgrass and little Koa bushes. This trimmer, with just one pass over cut threw everything just like butter. Even cut my time spent out there doing yard work in half, bam! Thank you, Black Decker. Have my recommendation.

Cut those Weeds Right Now

My yard is filled with weeds and it was getting to the point where a specialized tool like this was needed and a lawn mower was not cutting it. Set-up is easy and this tool is able to cut all the grass all the way to the dirt if you wish. Arms do get tired with prolonged usage as you have to keep it level with the surface to keep your lawn looking respectable. Just remember to buy a long enough extension cord and some wire and you are good to go.

Block the windows!

Very fast and rifles rocks around. Cuts down very tall grass well. Spool gets jammed at times...easy fix to undo the bottom and pull more line out. The cord thing always fun! Must learn a pattern to not get stuck to trees and bushes and children! Its an extention thing!

Just right for medium duty lawn edge trimming

Purchased to replace a gas trimmer so I exchanged one inconvenience (gas and unreliable small motor startup) for another (150 ft of extension cord) for another and wasn't ready for a battery operated unit. The BESTA510 assembles easily, super light compared to the previous gas trimmer and still develops plenty of power to cut grass and weeds but don't expect to use it on thick tall vegetation and saplings. On the downside the auto string feed is ridiculous. The string advances by centrifugal clutch for each press of the trigger and several reviewers confirm that it uses lots of string. YT videos show how to easily defeat the auto advance clutch and then its easy to manually advance the string. I might also wind 0.08 bulk string instead of the 0.065 string when it runs out.

Power cord plug - is it just me?

Overall a good trimmer - just one thing off when I started to use it for the very first time! I had such a hard time plugging the receptable end of my extension cord into the power cord plug - there was just not enough room! Finally I had to slice off a piece off the end to make it fit in! I believe the extension cord is a standard one so wondered if it’s just my extension cord?? So had to take one star off for that

Decent trimmer for the price.

I’ve used this once so far. Lightweight and very powerful. I was kinda surprised how loud this trimmer is. Not deafening by any means, but definitely louder than any electric trimmer I’ve used. If you normally don’t wear eye protection (I always do) you may want to think twice with this tool due to how powerful it is. The auto feed trimmer line jammed on first use. No big deal, I opened it up and was cutting again in a minute. I thought the guide wheel was going to be annoying but it’s actually quite helpful.

Great Trimmer. Far Better than I expected!

I was looking for light weight grass trimmer, when I came across the information. After comparing with 5 other comparable machines, I finally decided with this one. I am glad I did. This trimmer performed far better than I expected. It cuts through the overgrown grass and weeds. It's light weight yet it's packed with ample power. I don't need to worry about re-charging or refuling the machine, which is a big plus for me. I am very pleased with my purchase. I won't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Potente y Bonita.

Muy satisfecha con la compra, que hice para dejar de lado una de gasolina por pesada y dificultad en la alimentación del hilo. Llegó antes de lo indicado. Es Bonita, potente y efectiva. Solo que el hilo no le duró, se acabó en primer uso. Desconozco si llega con hilo más corto de lo normal o fue mi falta de práctica y por lo tanto, pulso en su uso. El diseño está muy bien, es agradable a la vista, pero...le falta botón de seguridad en el encendido, ya que lo hace nada más con el gatillo y lo accioné brevemente de manera accidental. Me sorprendió agradablemente su potencia, aunque su uso será más como bordeadora. Espero me dure mucho tiempo.
