Rapid is not a lie.

I've only had this toaster for a week but it has changed my life. I'll never drop 20 bucks on a mediocre toaster again. This one toasts bread to a perfect light golden brown in 30-45 seconds. Also, if you're someone with frozen waffles in your house, the frozen option is perfect-- they won't get burned, and they'll be lightly crispy but also soft enough to eat. My old toaster just burned everything indiscriminately regardless of the button or not. Could be cheaper, but I'm not going to complain too hard about the price. The only question is if it'll hold up longer than the Dash toaster I had before... which lasted about seven months. We'll see!

Trust Black and Decker

After failures from "name" brand toasters giving out after a few months, I finally resolved my problem. I bought B&D. This little guy just keeps chugging along. Nothing fancy but fills all my needs from bagel to morning toast. I want to add that for years I used a European highly regarded steam iron. The next FOUR were duds. I now use a B&D with ongoing superior results.

I purchased this toaster in 2015 and it died in 2022. The single and best pro for this toaster is it toasts so quickly. Very quick and even. The single con (other than the 7 year life) is literally the crumb tray. The crumb tray is very outdated, held together by a flimsy pin which broke rather quickly. I had to keep the toaster on a separate tray because the crumb tray cannot be reattached without the tiny pin. I have since purchased another toaster, literally 2 weeks ago. I could not believe how long it takes to toast (the new one) and how lousy it works. I'm about to reorder this toaster because it worked perfectly fine up until the day it died. Change the crumb tray feature and this toaster would be perfect.

I am single and except for guests normally alone, So toaster is used just by me and not for a family. Use about 4 times a week so used little. Great on frozen bagles but there are 2 steps, Step 1 Use frozen button try setting 5 adjust as needed Bagle will pop up. STEP 2 Use bagley button try setting 5 adjust as needed. You CANNOT use both buttons at same time. A little practice they will come out perfect. High wattage does fast job. I recommend for a single person but for a family I don't know. For 40 bucks worth a try.

Yes it’s fast, but …

True to the description, this does toast faster than other toasters I’ve had. Unfortunately, even on the maximum timer setting, the toasts come out before they are done. Then you have to toast again, and pop them manually so they don’t burn. If the timer lasted 30 seconds longer, it would be perfect.
