Good looks, utility, and price.
I have held off for a while on purchasing an electric kettle, but my last stovetop kettle, the lovely one I thought would last a lifetime, with a solid, seamless bottom, mysteriously began leaking at the bottom. (!) It was also quite slow on my smoothtop range. This is a huge improvement, and it cost about the same as the stovetop kettle. Because the heating element is in direct contact with the water, it begins to bubble almost immediately when you switch it on. At "full" line, it comes to a complete rolling boil and shuts off in 10 - 11 minutes. I often pour it over my tea well before that time, as it is quite hot enough. The blue LED is cute, and it is very easy to tell whether it is on or off. I'm usually not a fan of a modernistic look, but I find the shape and appearance quite appealing. I've had it a couple weeks and the stainless heating element is starting to show little spots of white discoloration. I tried a vinegar soak but didn't notice a difference. But it's only cosmetic. If it really bothered me I'd research how to polish it up. All in all, this is a nice, useful appliance and a very good value. Oh, and mine is very quiet. The boiling water makes a little sound, and there is a light click when it shuts off. That's it.

One of the best thing’s about the Brentwood KT-1900W1.7L Cordless Glass Electric Kettle, in White and or In other colors I enjoy that it’ fits almost anywhere in your kitchen and it works perfectly heating up the water to make a hot cup of tea or utilizing it for a hot bowl of cereal to add the water too or whatever warm beverage that you wish to make with it and it’s so efficient it shuts itself off too! ???? Thank you again. Wayfair for this item we enjoy it everyday and night. Kent family out!????????????

nice kettle
I have had this kettle for almost three months and it still works great. I love that its cool touch under the bottom, so my son can hold it under the bottom to hold it steady as he pours, and the base that it sits on it cool as well. The automatic shut off still works; it doesn't shut as soon as it comes to a rolling boil but about 2 maybe 3minutes later. Both my son and husband think the blue lights are cool. I love I don't have to take up space on the stove and have a hot burner after the fact (glass top stove). Every once in a while depending on how often you use it and the type of water you have you will need to wash it and probably scrub the bottom (might be hard water build up), unless of course you clean it after every time (I just put more water in). I can't say it heats up faster than a regular s/s stove to kettle, I'de say its about the same. I just like having it at my coffee/tea station. I have water for tea, hubby has water to make coffee with his french press, everyone is happy.

Worked for maybe 7 months. When it worked, I liked it a lot (with one exception, below). I like being able to look in from the other room and see clearly whether it's on and whether the water is boiling yet. Then it started blinking on and off when it should be on, then a few days later - day after Christmas, great timing (not) - it stopped turning on at all. No idea why. Can't get any response at all out of it. Didn't have it long enough to feel like I got my money's worth, unlike the Braun I had before that lasted more than 15 years. Miss that old Braun (but their latest design is way too ugly). The main other complaint I had while it still worked was that it was really easy to burn yourself. The steam seems to rise right to your knuckles if you hold the handle any kind of ergonomic way, but you can avoid getting burned if you hold it way down on the handle - but that gets awkward. Lastly, once the water boils, it boils for a LONG time before auto shut-off. Waste of energy.

Great kettle for the price.
I read a couple of reviews that weren’t too good and hesitated for a bit but I’m very happy I bought it. It looks very nice with it’s blue light and white color. It heats really fast and I can’t believe how much I paid for it. Even if it broke it wouldn’t matter too much because I paid so little. I mean don’t get me wrong I want it to last me ten years. Anyway I would recommend this one.

This morning s my second kettle from this brand. First lasted years. Great ???? instant hot water, recommendation to anyone . You not working sh I have for an update would be a temperature control setting to be added.

Short life product
It worked for approximately 1 year, then just stopped. I loved the tea pot and used it quite a bit, but what bothers me about buying appliances like this is that they are simply not built to last. They are built to maybe last a year or two (at the most), then they malfunction and you can't return them. The seller, passed the buck onto Brentwood the manufacturer, then Brentwood never replied to my request to exchange/return the product. So this thing is going to end up in a landfill after 1 year of use. We live in a throw-away nation, and are getting more and more used to having things break on us within 6 months, a year, etc. Anytime you mix cheap electronics with an appliance, I guess this is what you have to expect, so just know that you're about to buy a short-life-span product. Although when it works, it's great. So it might be worth the $50 or so dollars for 1 year.

Stopped working
It is a beautiful boiler but it stopped working after 1 year. I really loved it but I won't buy it again because it won't last. The opener is not closing also and we have to push many times and if we are lucky, it'll be closed. I prefer to spend money on devices which last a few more years.

Doesn't Boil Water Anymore
Has been finicky for months. Should have returned it while it was still under the 1-year warranty. Finally, finicky has given way to NOT BOILING WATER. The electrical contacts in the base don't make contact anymore. No amount of rotation, coaxing, fiddling, will cause the brass pieces to make contact. Hence, it is a poorly-designed product that fails to last longer than 1 year. I would expect more for the $45 that I paid for this item. Very disappointed in Brentwood. I adored the blue light.... sad.

The media could not be loaded. I am using it for few days i like it. I had the same one for few years i was happy i went for new one.
