It works like a dream
The switch on my 20+ year old range hood broke. I bought this and a friend helped put it in. I had to buy a 7 inch to 5 inch round reducer for it from Home Depot. It fit perfectly with the round reducer. My friend said there were no issues with the hood itself, like putting it in. Just follow the directions. The only problems were with the set up of my kitchen and not with the range hood, so he had to do a little cutting under the cabinet with a saber saw. A handyman or a DIY person can probably do this, but it was beyond my expertise. The range hood is beautiful. I love the various vent speeds. The sound is fine, and it doesn't screech like my old range hood vent. Even on high, the noise level is fine. The two lights are clear and bright. There are two mesh vent covers, which are easy to remove and put back in again. I like that all the controls and switches are on the front, and not below; this way they won't get grease splatters which can encrust them and gunk them up. My friend can't get over how bright the two lights are, and he remarks how much he likes it quite often. I am impressed with it. If I had to do it all over, I'd still buy the exact same model.

Perfect fit and nice suction
perfect fit and the fan works perfectly. very loud at the highest setting but that's a trade off if you want good suction. i thought it was one of those plug in vent, but its all hard wire, still easy to install. overall it's a good purchase

install needs updated instructions
Installed as per directions, but hood was loose and not held tight up to cabinet. Solution to get it as pictured, was two things: thin down by 1/8" the 4 screw beds so they are not exactly flush with the bottom of the cabinet frame, and add an extra screw bed across the front where there are two more screw holes. So there are 6 screws holding this up not 4 as per directions. It was totally inadequate with just 4. You can see one of the extra screws in second photo, up above the fan blades It was designed to be used that way, it appears. Otherwise I like the unit, nice looking, quiet enough, bright lights, suction seems fine.

this is a very good product at a good price
When my old nu tone Broan fan vent broke I was concerned that it would be hard to find such a high powered quiet fan today without having to pay a lot. When I shopped online indeed the newer fans with the high ratings were about $400. and more. I saw this fan on Amazon for $185. It had a higher rating than some of the more expensive ones. and it seemed a lot like my previous fan. people online complained some about the switches and a weird color to the lights. I thought well, I'll just change out the bulbs if I don't like the color. The switches are good old push button kind that you push on and off and they make a nice click sound. the only thing I didn't like about my old fan was the odd touch switches: it was hard to touch them just right to turn off or on. As far as install, it looked hard to me but my neigbor friend installed it for me and he said it was as expected. took him about an hour all told.

Powerful, quiet, and elegant
Awesome range hood at a great price. At 375 CFM its more powerful than a typical hood. But amazingly. It's also much more quiet. The lights are very nice as well. Install was easy if you're at all handy.

Great hood for the price
This is the second hood that I have ordered this year to replace our microwave/hood. Our new range is taller and it was harder to use under the microwave/hood. The 1st hood I purchased was made by a brand I never heard of. On the first use, the right fan (it has two) made a loud noise and stopped working after a half minute. I returned that hood and ordered this hood. The ratings and price were similar to the 1st hood. This hood was a little harder to install because you have to purchase and install an electrical cord if you are going to use a regular electric outlet. It was not hard to install. Simply two wires and a ground wire to attach to the hood. This hood seems to be a little better quality than the first. It is the quietest hood that we have ever had (4 previous counting the defective one). The LED lights are very bright. Great lighting when using our range. I highly recommend this hood. I gave 4 stars because of the extra step to buy and install the cord.

Works as advertised
Works well. Lights are bright, like that the 1st power level is quiet. The 2nd power level has some sort of resonant ringing/whistling noise which is bothersome but it doesn't exist on the 3rd power level which I use most of the time for the smelly stuff and has good power. The stainless finish could be a bit higher quality, seems to smudge easily for some reason and doesn't polish nicely as other SS appliances I have. Don't be like me and try to remove/install the bulbs by hand - there is a suction tool included. Overall slightly more power than average and slightly quieter than average. Good value before you get into the pricier $500+ models.

Great purchase
A very effective hood fan, and gets all of the strong food scents from South Asian food out. Was pretty simple to install, might need an extra pair of hands when making pilot holes. Simple appearance, but I like that in a hood range. Price was pretty decent when compared to other fans with similar CFM. I have recommended this to family.

Really like this fan! It is so quiet and looks very sleek and stylish. The suction is very good especially for a gas stove. It took practically no time to install. Highly recommend this fan!

Very quiet at low
The sound level is very good. When you turn it on at 1, you can even hear it at first. It turns on slowly and gradually. And at the highest level, we still can talk near it and it hold a knapkin pr sheet of paper with great ease

Cheaply made, very noisy!
It’s just a plain hood fan, even the buttons are plain, looks cheap! I will be replacing it with a different brand! Regret buying that one! It’s very noisy, can’t have a conversation with someone while cooking!
