Der Jr. Footlight-Schuh von Capezio ist perfekt für jede Aufführung, egal ob Charakter- oder Theateraufführung. Der Schuh verfügt über einen traditionellen Schnallenverschluss für eine individuelle Passform und einen formschönen, mittelhohen Absatz, der genau die richtige Höhe hat. Die Wildledersohle erleichtert das Gleiten über den Boden. Salvatore Capezio wurde 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italien, geboren. Da er kein Interesse daran hatte, in die Fußstapfen seines Vaters als Bauingenieur zu treten, wurde er selbst ein Künstler, ein Schuster. 1887, im Alter von 17 Jahren, eröffnete er sein Geschäft am Broadway und der 39th Street, schräg gegenüber dem alten Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Careful - for me, it does fit as shoe size (7.5) !

I ordered both the Capezio Women's Suede Sole Jr. Footlight and the Capezio Women's Jr. Footlight Character. Both models fit me like the description from Capezio predicted (one like street shoe size, the other half a size up). I normally wear a 7.5. Luckily, I got free returns so that I could order several sizes and I did not have to rely on the review only, but I would recommend to order several sizes when you are unsure like me. The shoe is quite narrow, which I liked because I have slim feet. Maybe that is why some people find it smaller than street shoe size or maybe the deviation from street shoe size is larger when you go up in size. One issue that I had with all four pairs of Capezio shoes that I ordered is that the heel seems to be at a slightly different angle than the front part of the shoe. So when I had my toes/the ball of the foot on the ground, the back part of the heel does not touch the ground. When I have the weight on the heels, the toes/ball of the feet do not touch the ground - which feels very unstable. Maybe this is because these shoes must also work for tap dancing (they have a hole in the heel so that you can put a tap heel on it). I hope that the heel will not break because of the uneven weight distribution. The Suede sole is nice, good for (ballroom) dancing probably. I couldn't keep this pair because the good size was not available and kept the Capezio Women's Jr. Footlight Character instead. Both are comfortable.

Shoes

I loved the color and style of these shoes. They reminded me almost of dancing shoes. Even though they are wide width, they still fit a little snug on my baby toe and they run a little smaller in length….very pretty shoes though, I would go up a half size larger if ordering.

seem to fit ok, look decent

They fit true to size. I usually wear a 9.5 and the 9.5 feel great. They kind of look like a pair of black ballet slippers with a heel on them, the toe is a little more rounded than I was expecting (but that also means more room in the toe area which is nice). The heel is strangely lacking suede and you can see nails (like other reviews mentioned.) They bulge out a lot on the inner side when I flex my foot. There is almost no support under the arch. They are nice and light and a pretty black matte color. I bought these for swing dancing lessons. I think they will work well, I just hope they hold up well, I'm eying the thin strap warily that is absolutely needed to keep these on.

The wide is too narrow

The style is cute. The color is great. The heal height was perfect. I ordered a wide and I couldn’t wear it because it was too tight. Maybe I need some “Kinky Boots.” I am short and squat and so are my feet. Going back to Dansco. But if you have narrow feet, these are very cute.

Good Ballroom Dancing Shoes from My New Shopping Paradise

I have very small, narrow feet and normally wear a size 6.5 in street shoes. However, I was very surprised to find that the size 6W fit me better than the 6.5M of the same shoe style. LESSON: Do NOT order your street shoe size with Capezio Jr. Footlights. The fact that Amazon makes returns very easy is a real boon. They have very helpful and courteous customer service representatives who call you right away if you request it. Amazon has become my new shopping paradise. Not only does it have a larger variety of merchandise to choose from, it spares me from the excruciating returns process I have had to deal with on ebay. The shoes I received today are comfortable and will do nicely for ballroom dancing classes. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because the leather could have been of better quality and the sizing more accurate.

Capezio Women's Suede sole Jr Footlight

After reading tons of reviews on this shoe that state almost everyone ordered a larger size, I ordered a size 8, 1/2 size larger than my normal 7-1/2. This turned out to be too big for me, so it was returned. One of the shoes came with a large, 4-5 in spot, which looked like a brown stain on the suede sole, which I thought was a little strange for what was supposed to be a new pair of shoes. I'm not sure why something like that was even shipped out. The suede on the soles is a little bit thinner than would be expected for suede-bottomed dancing shoes and there is no suede on the heels of the shoes. Also, it was 5 days after I put the order in before the shoes were even shipped out. I've never had anything ordered from Amazon that took that long to be processed. I decided to not reorder in case the next pair didn't fit either.

One shoe too big

I am a 7 street shoe. I measured my foot to the chart provided and it said I'd be a 6 so I went for the middle ground 6.5. Now I got th shoes on time however they are not the same size. The left shoe fit perfectly and is definitely a 6.5 where the right shoe is too big. My feet are definitely the same size, it's almost as if the right shoe was made a size 7 and marked incorrectly. I have a show in less than a month so naturally this is a problem for me. As you can see in the photo the right shoe is bigger. Would there be anyways to get just the one shoe replaced?

Ordered same as shoe size but they were tight. And that was with pantyhose vs socks. Very nice shoes though. Well made and sturdy

This is a really good price for character shoes

This is a really good price for character shoes, but of course, you get what you pay for. I found my legs were always sore after wearing them, unlike other sets of heels I own. They don't have much support. HOWEVER, they did their job for almost a whole year, and I'm happy with the price! I'd recommend this product :)
