Just the right amount extra warmth

For a "lightweight" thermal I am very impressed. I naturally run hot, so even in the cold of winter I don't need a lot of layers. I've tried lots of other products including very expensive merino wool, but they're either too bulky or make me too hot. This Carhartt shirt is just perfect. I worked all day outside in a wind chill that was about 20°F with this shirt and long sleeve shirt over it and stayed warm enough without sweating. The Tall-Large fit as expected like all my other Carhartt products

Sizing is wildy inaccurate, but product does the job.

In everything Carhartt I've ever owned, I wear a XL Tall. I couldn't even get the XL Tall on - I would have ripped it in half when it got over my shoulders. Ended up fitting in a XXL Tall. Shirt itself is thin, snug, fairly comfortable. Plan on layering it with a tee, thermal shirt, and coat for deer hunting. Think it'll work pretty well. If you pair it with the bottom base layer, the bottom seems to have fairly more accurate sizing.

What you would expect from Carhartt!

I am very pleased these Thermals! They are well made and so far are wearing like iron. One thing that requires noting is: Be sure to review the size chart. I wear a size XL Tall Top and a L Tall Bottom and both fit great. The L Tall Top would be too tight and the XL Tall Bottom would have too large a waist and be too baggy. I am 6' 4" tall and "lanky". I am not particularly muscular or overweight, just fit. For me, I need the Tall for my long arms and legs. I have already ordered a second pair and do recommend them!

Warm and comfy

This is a very comfortable and lightweight fit for men. It provides outdoor comfort and the cost is great.

Lightweight FORCE

What is really nice about Carhartt is the weight of the material(100% Polyester), and its moisture wicking abilities. It washes up great and it will last longer if you keep it out of the dryer. Complete with thumb holders on each sleeve, it really retains the body warmth. I have Patagonia, and North Face, and Bean, and this lighweight base layer is one you'll feel very confortable to fall asleep in. Just in case it's to cold to get up and change into P.J.s

Fit Better Than Expected

I'm 6'4" and usually have issues with items not fitting as expected. I got the XL Tall and the length of the arms was perfect. I only wish that this base layer was a little thicker. I bought this for running in colder weather but multiple layers are still required. I was also pleasantly surprised by the thumb straps at the end of the sleeves. This is perfect for spring time weather but definitely need to add more layers for winter weather.

A bit too light weight

To be fair it's light weight. But it's too light weight for me. Seems better suited for cool summer nights. Definitely not a winter thermal type of garment.

Ordered this shirt in Large Tall and it's tight and not long enough to tuck in.

Looks nice

The fit is true to size. The colour is nice. The fabric is 100% polyester. The carhartt label as well known and it’s made in USA. But after being washed, anything else attaches to the fabric and does not come off. Looks awful after a couple washes and fabric is now scratchy.

It’s ok.

The thermal material is more fragile and thinner than what I’ve expected. It’s ok. It’ll do the job, sure. But I have wanted something that was “beefier,” I guess, and not worrying constantly that it will rip on me every time I use it. It’s soft, though, and would be fine for home or casual use. I just expected something more heavy-duty for my needs.

Does the job

I like the product except that it is rather too snug and it is murder trying to put on a shirt over it. The shirt sticks to it and is hard to correctly position the shirt without help.
