works hard, looks good

I compared a lot of impact wrenches before selecting this model. It has a lot of power but not so much that you would be breaking bolts. In my opinion, to get something, you have to give something. To get extreme torque, you give up durability. The materials and construction, of the CP749, are first rate so I expect it to be as durable as my 20 year old CP734 (which still works great). I only got this wrench because I needed more power for bigger bolts. The best feature is that you can change forward/reverse without letting go or needing to use your other hand (i.e. working a rusted bolt back and forth while holding a hand wrench on the other side). The variable power selector for forward works good but I wish that it also applied to reverse. The only way to regulate reverse power is with your trigger finger or air line pressure. Make sure that your air compressor, air hose and couplers are big enough to handle this gun.

This company is one of the top brands out there. I bought this for my father who is a offshore engineer and uses this impact on every thing he works on at home. I've used one for about three years. Now yes if you are going to be working on heavy,heavy,equipment daily then you might need a heavier torque rating. I've seen this impact in mechanic shops, tire shops, we put a new rear end in 86 one ton last week. Hum it's just a great wrench all Aluminum body not as heavy as some of the new plastic composite ones IR ect. They even have rebuild kits should you ever gum up the gearing from bad air and or oil. My overall advise is have a good compressor with a good {CFM} rate with a dryer, give the wrench a few drops of some good oil now and then and let it work!

Beast.

Great impact, very smooth, lots of power, pulled lugs off my F250 with ease. I ordered the protective cover also. The four levels work well, reverse is just one speed. I would say its a little heavy but it seems that is what makes it feel right. I have several impacts but this just became my favorite. Was going to buy one off the tool truck but glad I didn't. Worth the money, I am sure it will last many, many years as I have yet to have a CP fail...ever!

This is a very reliable 1/2" impact gun. Very powerful (the regulator is a must have for working on smaller items). Gun is heavier and bulkier then most high end impact guns. Most importantly, if you do not run high air cfm and pressure to this gun it will NOT work well! Know what you are buying before you purchase.

S agence parfaitement avec le bon model d impact,bonne grandeur,(suite a plusieurs choc, et chutes sur le beton) protège tres bien,ne decolore pas, resiste tres bien au break cleaner et solvant de la sorte. Donne un super look a votre vieille impact ainsi que toute la protection nécessaire.
