not much stretch

I wanted to love this sweater, but for our purposes it just doesn't work. First of all, it's difficult to get on my foxhound. She squirms like crazy, It also isn't stretchy. Now it's wool so I knew that it wasn't stretchy but I guess I didn't realize that I NEEDED stretch in order to get it over my dog's head. It was also way too long on her. I'm returning it even though I love the pattern and the company looks like it has a great message, but it just doesn't work for our girl.

Great wool sweater

I have a short haired dog. Chilly Dog sweaters are the best sweaters I have ever bought. They are hand knitted and the quality is great. I’m a hand knitter myself so I appreciate the quality. The sizing is accurate. My dog likes wearing the sweaters so I call it a win.

so well made

This is such a lovely sweater, it will last a long time! There is nothing that I do not like about the quality. I would definitely recommend purchasing. It seems true to its size as well. The only one small minor thing that bugs me, is a giant letter H or I is knitted smack in the middle . Maybe that is the creators initial? I just don't like it. It is smaller in the picture here but ours is huge. Lol not liking that. Other than that I know from being a vendor that the south american's really have quality work in their knitted sweaters for human's, and would not expect anything less for the doggies.

Tore at underarms on second wearing

Colors and warmth were excellent . But sizing ran small and seams tore on second wearing by my pit bull . Very disappointed.

heavy warm but long

my dog is an 80 # Rottie/ChowChow mix so hes proportionate and teh sweater is long. I flip up the end as he carries his tail up. belly isnt too long though so he can potty without an issue. very warm and beautifully made. its worth the price ( even a value Id say) I wish I could get a sweater like this myself! If it wasnt so long Id give it 5 stars. He loved wearing it this winter.

Beautiful sweater. Order based on length and wt, not chest girth.

Such a lovely, well-made sweater. Thick and warm. Got XXL for my 50 lb pit mix due to chest size (this is size of her coat)/ Unfortunately, this is much too long, not only in total length, but also in overall construction and arm placement. :(. Will be reordering in an XL instead. Too bad my enthusiastic 8 yo took the tags off already. Will definitely be gifting to friend with larger dog.

Beautiful sweater

Unfortunately, it didn't last but a few hours since one of my dogs essentially destroyed the sweater by chewing the yarn. He did this to the two sweaters I purchased, so I will not be trying anything knitted again.

I have now bought 2 of these sweaters. My fur baby gets excited when it's time to put it on. I love the look and it keeps him warm. Washed up great as well.

I have had this brand of sweaters for over a decade

We have sweaters here from Chilly that are over a decade old and they have worn and washed extremely well for my goldens. As with any knit product I always check for a loose piece and if I find one tie it off as if I’d made it myself. I have 10 Chilly sweaters (plus gifts given) in my possession and I love them and highly recommend them. We have threw new Navajo XXLs in now and so far they are performing like the ones I’ve had for years. They are used for outings as well as to speed drying of our dogs fur post baths. I have not babied them and neither have my goldens ????????❤️???? So I recommend them to my puppy people. If I can get them on sale all the better...LOVE this product and will continue to purchase wool sweaters from Chilly!

Unraveled after being worn for less than 10 minutes.

This is a nice thick sweater but the ends are not tied or weaved in properly. I took my dog for 1 walk and in less than 10 minutes the shoulder was unraveling. I had to stitch it up myself. They also didn't send the sweater I ordered. Amazon stated there were 3 left when I ordered it. I guess they ran out. Looks like they just threw in a random XXL and hoped I'd be happy with it.

Great coat

It's hard to get coats for my dog, let alone nice ones. This coat fits her beautifully and she looks gorgeous in it...definitely a great buy

Like the title said...unraveled at first wear. Good thing I only paid twelve bucks for the XXL
