comfortable footbed, but it hits the back of my heels

The foot-bed is no doubt very comfortable like other Clarks shoes, but the back of the shoes is higher than usual that hits the back of my heels. I bent the back of the shoes outward several times to solve the problem. This method worked for the red color I purchased as well, but not quite for the black one.

My Clark's Ezra Runner Shoes Rub My Heels

I was excited to receive my new Clark's casual slip on shoes but the first day I wore them my heels were rubbed very raw. The raised lip on the heel strikes me at a sensitive spot caused a small raw spot. I wore them with bandaids the next day and the results were still painful. I would return them if I had not worn them already. I have been a fan of Clark's shoes for years but these were not suited to me.
