Storage Capacity Met!
I want all of my knives in view so that I can pick the best one for whatever I am needing to cut. This generous knife block does just that. The construction is sturdy and the finish is a perfect compliment for my cabinets. I like the horizontal slots that won't damage my knives, and the angle/tilt for easy access. My previous knife block was 34 years old (yes, definitely sturdy), but failed to offer me the generous options for adding all of my knives, scissors and sharpening tool. I love this knife block!

Company has great customer service.
The first block I received had a crack. I emailed the company with a pic and they quickly sent out a replacement. They didn't want the the cracked one returned. It will end up in the fire pit. Before ordering this model I checked the measurements of all the knife slots to make sure it would accommodate my knives especially my Chinese vegetable cleaver and nakiri.

It’s beautiful!
The wood is gorgeous and I love having enough slots for most of my knives.

A Good Value
This is a very sturdy and attractive knife block. It is made of wood pieces glued together and overlaid with a thick bamboo veneer. The thing I like the most is that the cleaver slot is 3 3/8 inches wide. Most blocks won't hold my giant cleaver but this one has no problem. The slots are also very deep. I have a couple of knives with 8 inch blades and they fit with plenty of room left over. I think it could probably accommodate knife blades up to 9 1/2 inches long. And, with 25 slots, there are lots of options. I've already ordered some more knives from Zwilling so that I can fill this baby up. The only thing I didn't like was the chessy logo on the front. I sanded it off and gave the whole block an extra coat of clear varnish. That will help it to last a long time. Overall, the block I received is well-made and seems like a good value for the money. I recommend it.

Exactly what it claims to be
I bought this to replace one of those KitchenAid knife blocks that has a few hundred plastic straws instead of slots for the knives; it lacked the capacity to hold all the knives I wanted close to hand. I've moved a couple of additional knives into this block and still have lots of unused space. It's not solid bamboo - it's about 1/4 inch of bamboo over some other wood. It seems to be well made. There are no gaps or cracks, and everything seems to be smoothly finished. Arrived well packaged; it looked like it would have required pretty egregious mishandling to do any damage. Now that I see it in place I think I should have gone for something a little smaller, but it looks like it's going to work out very well. I'm quite happy with it; it is in any case a big step up from its predecessor.

Gets all the knives out of the drawer.
Had a drawer with a lot of knives in sheaths. This has more than enough slots to clear out the drawer.

Very good
I like this knife block. I have a lot of kitchen knives by various makers and was looking for a block that would allow me to store a larger number of them than my previous block. I think the old one held something like 11, so this was a big improvement. It's nice and heavy, and the wood is smooth. It looks attractive on the counter. There is a pretty good variety of slot sizes. I don't have a cleaver, so I wish that space were for two smaller knives instead, but that's just my personal preference and I would not mark it down for that reason. I use the steak knife slots for paring knives instead, as I seem to have more of those than anything. I like that I can also store a set of kitchen shears in this block. I'm happy with my purchase.
