Glad to find one with no stupid app.

Tip to vacuum pack - use a straw to evacuate a ziplock. Unexpected bonus - lot of meat drippings to make Yorkshire pudding for breakfast with lemon juice and powdered sugar. Some similar machines connect to your phone. Um, yeah, no thanks! I can set a timer on my watch or phone. I tried a chuck roast - maybe 132 and 36 hours- amazing! I tried tri-tip, 130 something and 3 hours - not bad but not impressive. I tried sirloin. Good, not great. I tried chicken - too mushy for my liking. I am no expert, but glad I bought it so when a chuck roast is on sale, I can eat like a king. I will keep grilling chicken and better steaks.

Great product

My only real complaint is how loud and incessantly it beeps. I understand that a loud beep for alarms are good. But every single button press is a loud beep. Temperature is done in tenths of a degree. Want to raise the temperature 5 degrees? 50 very loud beeps. Or else you can hold down the button and let it go, but it goes so fast, it's easy to miss your target and go past it, then have to beep back. Think your microwave beeps loudly? Wait till you get this!

Hard to turn on

This product were great for a couple of months. That all of a sudden the touchpad to turn it on is very difficult. It seems as if it doesn’t feel the pressure of your touch. It takes several times to be able to turn the machine on. Once it is on it works fine although I feel that it cooks at a higher temperature than what the setting says. Unfortunately I only had until June to return the item.

What a great product!

I had never tried sous vide before and was wary, but this little item is both inexpensive and accurate. It does not have bluetooth connectivity (which is probably why the price was reasonable) and the timer sound is pretty soft - doesn't bother me as I just set a timer to let me know when to check on it. Strongly recommend for anyone starting out in Sous Vide cooking!

Great device fir sous vide

I have been cooking sous vide for years. There are many sous vide devices that cost over $100, they include bells and whistles That seem useless to me. All I need is an easy to set temp control and temperature consistency. This device has that and it is quiet. It's is +-1degree accuracy. I haven't had it very long but so far so good. The price is certainly very appealing.

No beep and overheated plastic smell but worked well

I was excited to use a sous vide cooking method. This unit was on sale and seemed a great deal. Delivery was on time. I was surprised at the length of time it takes to cook everything using sous vid, but that was just my learning experience and had nothing to do specific to this unit. The unit I received was defective in that the beep that happens when reaching operating temp and when cooking time is reached was defectively low. I had a hard time hearing it within 12 inches. It also emitted an overheated plastic smell the entire time it was hot. I used it three times thinking the smell would burn off but it did not. It did heat up to the set temperature and maintained set temperature thru the cooking cycle. It shut off properly when the cooking time expired. I contacted Amazon and a return authorization was given without difficulty. The unit was packed back in it's original box and returned.

I really like this. Heated up fast and had a consistent temperature. Would really made my steaks pop

Works good

If you're looking for a good but yet inexpensive sous vide.............look no further. I've been using this one for a while now and it works great every time. Not much else to say, it's lived up to my expectations.
