Plug and Play!
This is an excellent product. Even came with vehicle specific instructions for trim removal and installation. Totally plug and play to existing wiring harness. No cutting or splicing of oem vehicle plugs. A bit of a challenge getting the wiring harness plugs to the tail lights but using a pull through wire did the trick to bring wiring harness to the taillights. Works as advertised. Well worth the cost, supply your own labor and you'll be good to go installing your aftermarket towing hitch.

Installation not straightforward
This is a great option if you have an aftermarket hitch and no light connection. The installation is essentially plug and play but figuring out where certain wires go is a bit of a challenge. That being said, it can be done in a few hours on a Saturday. There is a GREAT YouTube video on installation but in the video they have a lift. It's a little difficult to figure out where they're running some of the wires when you're lying on the floor of the garage with your head at a weird angle. This is especially true when running the wire to the battery. The included instructions literally show a line drawn from the back to the front of the vehicle. If watching the video there are some challenges in running that wire where you'll want someone spotting you to figure out where you're actually sending the wire at different points.

Know a bit about what you are doing, not a bad install.
The product install was ok, but i’d not recommend to anyone who wasnt very comfortable crawling around under a vehicle and pulling up plastic trim inside to not have it visible inside. Installed in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Took several hours.

Solid product, but not an easy install
Installed this today in our 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk. Some of the issues I ran into might have to do with the trim level (trailhawk), but they were pretty substantial. First, the directions didn't go nearly far enough on the trim removal. After I removed the trim they called out, I still had zero chance of actually getting the wires up to each tail light. On the driver's side, I had to pop loose both rear vertical trim panels, and even then, I still had to fish into a blind hole. On the passenger side, I couldn't get the wiring past the factory subwoofer. To take it out completely would have required removing pretty much all the plastic back there, so instead, I removed enough to access the two most rearward screws, which let me move the sub just enough to squeak the wiring by...again, all through basically blind holes. Running the power wire to the battery also required quite a bit of removal and reinstallation of quite a bit of plastic, as well as some pretty tricky fishing through the firewall, but even this was less work than the 'plug and play' portion at each tail light. I have quite a bit of experience removing and replacing interior panels and running wires...if you don't, you might want to farm this job out. The upside is that the price was fair, and the device works as intended.

Give yourself the time to do it right
Installation was more difficult than I envisioned when ordering, I assumed that all what was needed was to pull the plugs on the tail lights plug the trailer wiring plug in its place and then plug the tail lights plugs in the back of the trailer wiring plugs task finished. However in order to run the wires to where they are unseen requires removing panels etc. and threading them to where they need to go. When I started the task I realized that it was going to take a lot longer than anticipated. When finished the end result was it looked like I knew what I was doing. Bottom line the difficulty is threading the wires at 1 to 10 the skill level is a 3, just allocate the time required to do it right.

Easy to use
I have wired many trailer plugs finding the correct wire to match the corresponding plug wire. Many hours and cut finger tips spicing. This Curt plug and go is the trick. Worth every penny. One thing I did have to do that I wasn't counting on, was running a red wire to the battery. Still very very easy to do.

Easy install !
I bought a kit like this for my '12 Toyota Rav4 a couple years ago. It was easy to install. So I bought this one again for my Dad's '17 Jeep Cherokee. Again, it was easy to install, just more steps than my Rav4. But my Dad made it more complicated. Instead of going to the battery in the engine compartment with the black wire, he spliced the pink wire from the cigarette lighter in the trunk compartment to get current from there. It worked, but I suggest you to watch the install video that Curt Manufacturing put on YouTube.

Installation is easy
This kit comes with everything you need and the instructions were straight forward. It took roughly 3 hours to install(not difficult just takes a bit of time) I wanted the wiring inside the back of the vehicle as it will not be used often otherwise it would have been much faster. I found a video online that was a step by step for this harness on my vehicle
