Quality of these boots seemed disappointing

I have purchased many Dan Post boots. Some from Amazon and some from others. I was surprised to see that these were selling for 50% less than the Dan Post web site. After receiving them I observed the following: The coloring was slightly different between the left and the right. The right boot was very hard to slip on. It seemed to be tighter in the ankle. Finally starting to loosen up. Even with the slight disappointment I have with these boots they still feel very comfortable! I like the rustic look but after evaluating this pair I have concerns that the price was reduced because it was not of the quality that I have come to expect from Dan Post. Wish Dan Post still made this boot in the Palomino style. (Lighter Tan)

Dan post boots for under 300 dollars isn't a bad deal.. 4 star for issue with processing.

Had an issue processing from the initial payment attempt. Somedays later I had success. Is as described. I should have gotten a 9 and a half but these will be fine.

Difficult to put on

I found that the upper boot shaft could be a bit larger as putting the boots on requires a great amount of effort. However, once the boot is fully on, the fit is near perfect. Hopefully, this will improve with additional break in.

Good Boot - not quite what I expected -UPDATED

Only had them a couple weeks so this may be a bit premature. The boots are good and appear to be typical Dan Post high quality. They're not as soft as I was expecting and will take some wearing to break in. I have the similar Palomino-colored boot and bought these because I love the Palominos and Dan Post is discontinuing the style. Whereas the Palominos were glove-soft and slipper-comfortable right out of the box, these are a bit stiffer and not as comfortable. However, I'm pretty confident that with some breaking in, they will work out fine. Well, it's been over a year now and these boots have never really broke in right. I've worn them lots and even trudged them through plenty of mud and wet grass to try and soften them up. No amount of boot creme seems to help. They're OK, but not what I would expect from Dan Post.

Love the boots

I had a pair of boots in the early 90's and wanted to get another pair. I figured that like everything else, 'they don't make them like they used to' ... not so with these boots. Just all around awesome. I ordered 1/2 size larger and wide in hopes my orthotics would fit... they did. Great pair of boots

Between the 2 pairs of boots that didn't fit cost me 100$ in shipping charges

Loved the boots waited 4 months for them and they were to big ordered another pair smaller but cost $100 more and were to small and it cost me 100$ in shipping charges
