A Very Attractive Bust.
At a casual glance this bust has the appearance of being made of stone. However upon scrutiny it is obviously made of some kind of resin. It is not even necessary to pick it up to determine this. For me this is unimportant because it is placed in my study and is for my benefit alone, but because of this I would be a little hesitant to place it in my living room. Perhaps I should add that this resin like appearance irritated me upon first examination but this feeling gradually wore off. I like the representation of the bard in this sculpture, though I have a bias towards those without an elaborate Elizabethan ruff. (Historically this may be less accurate however.) The main fault was a slight chip on the rim of the left nostril. This is very superficial and not readily noticed. It does however pull down my rating from five to four stars.

Excellent Bust of The Great Bard
Review of: "William Shakespeare Desktop Sculptural Bust in Antique Stone," by Design Toscano. This is a wonderful piece for any Shakespeare fan. The manufacturer specifications list: "Dimensions: 7.5"Wx5.5"Dx12"H 3 lbs. Hand-cast using real crushed stone bonded with high quality designer resin. Each piece is individually hand-finished by our artisans. Exclusive to the Design Toscano brand and perfect for your home or garden. Stately bust of the famed Elizabethan playwright." The bust is antiqued and looks great. The picture does justice to the real item. The dimensions as listed are spot on and it does indeed weigh a little over three pounds. I use mine for inspiration and also to hold my headphones, etc. in addition to simply paying homage to the Great Bard. Nothing else needs to be said. At this price-point and quality it is a good value! I love mine. Five stars.

A Handome Representation
This is a nice statue. It's made of resin, but it sort of has a feel of ceramic or stone, which I find to be a plus. There are some flaws in the finish, but personally I can live with them, especially in the $40 range. I have about a dozen Shakespeare busts and statues, and sometimes his face and head can come across as kind of weird, skewed, or goofy. The representation of Shakespeare on this bust is very handsome. Actually, it's one of my favorite representations. It's a nice size for a fireplace mantle or a bookshelf. If my bust was lost or damaged for some reason, I'd definitely get another one. Personally, I think it would make a nice gift for a Shakespeare aficionado.

It’s ok
A hollowed out statue. Doesn’t feel solid or have a sense of value, details are ok. It cost ???? 6 to make, so for the money it cost, they should do better

Smaller than I thought
This is a very detailed bust of my favorite historical figure! It's a bit smaller than I thought, more narrow than expected, but still very cool. My students love it and it's great to decorate for the seasons.

Absolutely superb!
I thought I knew how good my Shakespeare bust would be but I'm staggered by how good it looks. It's a wonderful size, a good weight & has a serene look on the face that just doesn't appear on nothing else I've see. We have turned a spare bedroom to a Shakespeare room with old photos, postcards etc but this is going to be the centrepiece. If you are thinking about buying this - don't think, just get it! You will not be disappointed.

Not for 66 Batman fans.
It's nice and all but I mistakenly thought it was a reasonable facimile of the bust that's the secret entrance to the batpoles on the 1966 batman show. It was not even close. If you like shakespeare, that would work for you. For me, it's 50 bucks down the toilet. Not a manufacturer error, it's a mistake on my part. Now, I'll search for the right bust, with an older Shakespeare likeness.

Why would I want a bust of Shakespeare in my hall? I just do. I researched a few different ones before deciding on this one - I like this pose - it's definitely the bard, and I prefer it to the more classic staring "cartoon" style. This was extremely well packaged - in a large box, in its own polystyrene cutout, so very little chance of it being damaged in transit. It looks the part. For that price, it's obviously NOT carved marble (and I knew that when I ordered it), but it looks just like it - smooth, creamy, with an 'antiqued' finish. There are even signs of ingrained shadowing around the creases, for example the neckline, and the folds of the cloth. All-in-all, a very convincing replica, and unless anyone picks up it up, they wouldn't be able to tell. If anyone does pick it up, nothing bad happens - it weighs a pretty solid 3 pounds, it's just that they will realise that it isn't heavy enough to be marble. Other details - it has three small felt pads on the base, plus a "Made in China" sticker (easily removed with solvent). It stands firmly, without wobbling, and the back is as well finished as the front. See photos. Yes, I do like it, and for the current price of less than £25, I think it is good value.

Huge Bill
Must admit I bought this purely because it was a knock down price and I was a tad hung-over. I also thought it was a lot smaller than it actually is, probably due to not reading the info fully (again, hung-over). When it arrived I was somewhat taken aback at how big it is - but it's a cracker and looks much better 'in person' than the photograph suggests. Next time I've got a hangover I might invest in a plinth for him!

some scrapes and scratches
Overall I like this bust. It is a good size and was delivered promptly and well packaged. When I removed it from the polystyrene I noticed several scrapes and scratches, One area looked smudged as if it had been packed while still wet! It is also much lighter in weight than expected. That said, it looks nice ( especially from a distance)

Garden ornament?
Purchased this to go on a bookcase in my living room but was so disappointed when it arrived,badly cast,has lumps and bumps on its face and hair and it's such a horrible colour that I'm sure it's supposed to be a garden ornament and it does say weatherproof on the card with it.so an expensive garden ornament which is likely to get broken by cats or foxes.
