Love it! =^..^=
The initial product purchased had some cosmetic issues (nothing major, the candleholder cup was bent & there was an area on the back of the altar where the hieroglyphs were messed up probably during the molding process), and I returned the item for replacement. The replacement arrived very quickly and was in perfect condition. The sculpture of Bast is beautiful as is the base w/hieroglyphs. The matching candles are a nice touch as well, though I do not intend to burn them because I like them so much! So, I cannot attest to their quality in terms of scent or how well/fast they burn. The service I received from Amazon & Design Toscano thru Amazon was stellar! Overall I'm very pleased with the entire transaction and the item itself is better than I'd hoped. It is also offered at a very reasonable price. As a collector of Bast items, this one is well worth the price!

Beautiful piece
The statue is gorgeous. The coloring and craftsmanship is wonderful. I was slightly disappointed with the candle holders. One is off by just a bit. One of the candles had melted just a little during shipping so the hyrogliphics are smudged on one side. All in all, it's still a beautiful piece and the holders may be just the right size for chime candles. Haven't tested it yet but it looks about right.

pretty, but get what you pay for
I like it a lot and this will look nice on my altar, however it was a little lower quality than i expected. Also the candle holders are thin foil and one was damaged, I was able to bend it back into proper shape, but was somewhat dissapointed in that. It was still in plastic wrap so it may have come to the seller that way and not been noticed. Over all i do like it and its very pretty. Nice addition to my altar.

I bought this for my step cat, who is one to remind me that his ancestors were worshiped in Egypt, and that he would stop yowling at 3am if I had an altar for him. I figured that it wasn't too expensive, and that if it kept him from killing me in my sleep even better. It arrived quickly and was lovely, if a bit small. I easily gave it 5 stars. Well, the step-cat looked at is and wasn't impressed. He was expecting something more regal, like him. He jumped up on the dresser, and swatted it off with a look of contempt before giving me the middle claw and calling ASPCA to report that his wicked step mother wasn't worshiping him properly. He gave it 1 star. It looks nice, but it hasn't stopped the cat from running around the house like he's possessed at 3am. Since it hasn't appeased him, I give it 3 stars overall. Now, if anyone can direct me to a good bedside water gun...

More of a small figurine than art
It is pretty, but not worth $17-19 in my opinion. It's a lot smaller than I pictured, and much lighter. I never checked the dimensions in the first place, which is fine, but I thought it would feel more solid. I was also excited about getting those cool looking candles, but they were not included, at least not with mine. I think I fell for the marketing of it. It doesn't look or feel like a piece of art at all. It's basically just a small figurine.

I loved it until I saw that the little candle holder is stuck about 1cm above the the hole that it is to sit in. It's glued so I can't push it in or pull it out.

Lovely to look at.
This Bastet is lovely to look at. However, the paint is pealing off in one of the candle holders showing white underneath. The weight is just over half a pound and not 1lb as stated in the description. Both rims for the candle holders are missing. This is not like the picture in the description at all.

La versione del prodotto che ho ricevuto io manca di quelli che sembrano essere "scodellini/portacandela" estraibili ai lati della statuina, ci sono solo due "fori" in cui comunque suppongo possa essere inserito qualcosa. La statuina è comunque piuttosto graziosa, abbastanza rifinita e discreta sia per aspetto sia per dimensioni.
