Mr. Slither And Squirm Is Quite Welcome In My Home
This is perfect for the home filled with lovers of Kings and Queens, Knights and Knaves, Wizards and Dragons, Bishops and Gargoyles. This wondrous one will be poised and on the ready no matter where you may determine his home to be. I placed mine where he could watch out on the window for any evil spirits that may be headed towards my home. He's a chunky beast but isn't as heavy as he appears. Still, if I were you, I'd get out my trusty stud finder to locate the best, and safest, spot for this delightful Slither and Squirm Gargoyle. You'll want him to stay right where you put him and not suddenly landing on your head. While he isn't that heavy, he's not that light either! Mr. Slither and Squirm is most welcome in my home. He adds a lovely touch on the wall complimenting my shelf and desk dwelling Gargoyles!

Heavy; Needs To Be Secured Well; Nicely Detailed
This is a fairly heavy gargoyle sculpture that is meant to be hung somewhere. It is extremely detailed and well made (resin). Included with the sculpture are mounting screws, where they are placed in slots on the hands/feet of the gargoyle. Because of the resin material, you should get the sculpture hung well the first time because if it falls it will break. Weight is 6 lb (~2.8 kg) which means it will take a heavy fall and requires a strong wall to hang up. The color is dark, gunmetal gray and details on the gargoyle are fairly complex (eyes, eyebrows, claws etc.). A bit pricey for the size of the sculpture, however it is well made enough to warrant paying it.

Great detail and weight, would make a terrific gift
Great piece! While I am still trying to decide the best place to put this, I do know that I will somehow have it out near the front door on Halloween. The statue is weighty, but since it is a mixture of stone and resin, it isn't like the weight of cement. It's about six pounds. It has great detail to it and is a nice size. The two keyholes in the back of a hand and a foot help mount it securely to a wall (the bottom of the feet and hands are flat). It's another great item from Design Toscano that would make an awesome gift.

Impressive guardians at the gate
This set of gargoyles by Design Toscano are very nicely done and look like a real architectural feature that looks like stone. These gargoyles that are facing the same direction are made of high impact resin and look ferocious. They can be used either indoors or outdoors I put them inside to guard each of the entryways of our home. They are of good size and have several slots were they can be securely attached to the wall.

Brilliantly grotesque designs, high impact, shame the set contains two identical gargoyles though
These gargoyles are kind of amazing! Although the dimensions are listed on Amazon, they feel bigger, possibly because of the reach of the sprawling limbs. The sculpt is very detailed and surprisingly grotesque, definitely not watering down the gargoyle-theme to make them more palatable. They're very sturdy, but easy to hook on walls once you've screwed in something for them to hang on. Overall, my only complaint with the set is that they're both identical. They're such a unique and individual design, it feels like a wasted opportunity to package two identical ones together. Maybe that keeps the cost down, but they're not ducks to hang in a row - if both had been different designs that complemented one another, this would have been five stars, easily.

Gorgeously grotesque!
Absolutely gorgeous pieces of work. I was delighted to receive these, having eyed gargoyle wall sculptures for ages. These are large - about the length of a cat) and take up a fair piece of space. The detail really captures the imagination - when in shadow, the look truly sinister - just my thing. Am absolutely in love with these grotesques - my only wish is they weren't identical. This being said, you could,buy a pair - as they're boxed separately - and gift one to someone and keep the other. Do be warned, you will want a good reinforced wall (hollow wall might be a bit of a risk) and sturdy screws (probably with rawlplugs). These are fairly heavy. I can't wait to get these up on the Wall!

These are not what I would term as gargoyles. They are fantasy figures - certainly. Right for a gothic setting - but not much else.
