Worth it. Just be in good shape lol

Ok, so I've rented these in the past, and decided to bite the bullet on this thing. Thank you amazon 0% financing lol. I've got a ton of the 20v tools so batteries aren't an issue. The Pros: 1) Makes incredibly short work of plumbing repairs, especially when you can't get the pipe to dry out. 2) Dewalt quality, enough said. 3) Has 1/2" up through 2" jaws included, which is awesome for commercial work. 4) comes with a case. this is a MUST for me. 5) the tool connect feature is really cool, and if I were in the commercial world, on big jobs, I would not want anything else. Cons: 1) Its BIG. The jaws rotate and such, but its still pretty large and can be tough in tight spots. 2) With a 4ah battery, its pretty darn heavy. I'm in my late 30's and in very good shape (Own a crossfit gym too), and lugging this SOB up and down a ladder gets tiring after awhile. I also took the jaws out of the case, the 2" set alone probably weighs 10lbs. 3) If you're a cheap person, you're prolly not going to love the price. But I think that for what you get, especially with 0% for 12 months, that more than justifies the price. Bottom line: this is the mac daddy of press tools, priced accordingly, but should last awhile and save you a ton of time.

Very easy to use

We used this product to plumb in a boiler system and it was awesome! Saved a huge amount of time using this - no more soldering!

Works very well

It’s kind of big but we like it overall. Not sure what happened with the last review but the ridgid ones break too. I have 3 of them. The dewalt hasn’t broken yet and we roughed a 30 unit building with it and did other jobs as well. The strap is nice so you can hang it off your shoulder. Since it’s bigger it’s harder to steal and maybe it will last longer than the ridgid. I like the fact that I already have lots of these batteries and chargers from other dewalt tools. Can’t say the same for ridgid. With ridgid i have to ship mine out to get serviced. With dewalt I can just take it to the local dewalt shop.

Nice features,Thought I'd give Dewalt a try.

This tool could not handle the hard work of professional plumbers, broke and split ram wide open on second use.Jaw pin pops out causing jaws to dislodge.Thankfully I had my faithful Ridgid press tool on site.I think the jaw pin is a defect that needs to be addressed.

Awesome product

Great product ridged gas jaws are interchangeable with the gun. As a plumber of 10 years experience using a lot of propress I highly recommend this tool.
