I really love this leash. I have very sensitive hands, and nylon leashes always seem rough to me, especially along the sides where they are sown together. If a dog pulls while I'm holding the nylon leashes, I can easily get rope burn in my hands. The problem with really soft leashes is they can fall apart or they get dog hair all over them. This Dogline leash is very soft but sturdy, and it stays surprisingly clean. So far, no dog hair clings to it, it just seems to fall off it :) It's easy wad up and wrap around your hand when you want to make it shorter and it's a great length for walks. I recommend it!!! Edited comment on 12/3/15 - I originally ranked this leash a 5 star. Unfortunately the 1st leash, the metal attachment for the clasp broke. I had left her with a sitter and the sitter used the leash to tie her up while the kids were playing ball. And my dog got excited and pulled to get the and snapped the metal piece. I figured that was the dogs fault since she must have just done something extreme trying to get the ball, the leash is not really designed to be a "tie down", so I assumed it was the situation's fault, not the product's fault, so I just ordered a replacement. This new leash, I've only used a few times. We were on a normal walk tonight and my dog got excited and pulled on the leash the metal piece just snapped and she was free My dog is only 60lbs, she shouldn't be strong enough to snap a metal piece off. And it's not like an screw came loose, the actual metal broken. Both times this happened, it was cold outside, so I'm thinking perhaps the metal is too thin or weak and it gets brittle in the cold? See attached photos. The first time, it happened in the backyard, the second time was in a park. If it had happened next to a busy street, and she had run into the street with traffic, it could have been heartbreaking. A product breaking once could be a random situation, but since it happened twice that means a product weakness, I have to unfortunately retract my praises. It's a shame, because the leash itself is still amazing, all the positives I mentioned in my first review above are still correct, it is so soft and easy on the hands and a great length but still easy to wrap around your hand to make it shorter when needed. I love the leash, but not enough to risk my dog's safety. (see photos)
