Great boot for the price

Great boot for the price. Lightweight, mostly comfortable fit. Definitely consider getting new insoles. Dress it up or dress it down, it’s good for most occasions.

Smooth tread so you don’t track mud yet still not slippery.

Comfortable and serviceable. I wish they lasted a little longer but then I do put a lot of strain on them with my job.

Good, basic, light duty boot.

I really like the simple style of this boot and the fact that the sole doesn't have treads. It keeps me from tracking mud into the house, but it is a bit slick on wet surfaces and it's not a hiking boot. It fits pretty well, I am a 12 1/2 but that size isn't made so I went with the 12 and it is plenty big. But the fit is a bit funky in a way - hard to describe precisely, but my heel kind of slides up a bit as I walk and if I try to tighten it the top kind of binds into my ankle. This probably will get better as the leather softens. I'd have considered five stars but I was really bummed that these are made in China despite all the info on the web about how Eastland are family owned and operated and made in Maine. I guess that only applies to some of their boots; I should have known based on the price. So far so good, but still no clue how well they will last.

Jack boots

The boot are very lightweight which is always good and not much traction grips on the bottom making it easier to clean the mud off after feeding all the critters on the ranch.

An ok dress casual boot.

These look really nice when brand new. The sole gets discolored pretty easily even though I work in an office environment. I had to treat with a liberal coat of mink oil 3 times to get to a tolerable level of comfort, and they need another coat now after a few months. Their is no padding around the opening which is very stiff, and digs in a little while driving, or sitting down in general, but they are pretty comfortable while on my feet. Not a bad boot for dress casual, but not sturdy enough for a work boot. The 10.5Dfit the same as an 11D Nike running shoe. The forefoot is a little narrow, so for a wider forefoot these will be uncomfortable as I have a medium wide foot, and they are almost too snug. I wouldn't pay more than $80 for these boots, and I've seen them for well over $100 at times. I alternate between this and a more comfortable dress casual work shoe because they are too uncomfortable for every day wear. They do look nice though.

Beware, it's a Zero drop shoe

These are sexy looking mid-high boots with a zero drop heel (Heel has the same height as the front foot). Personally it is very uncomfortable to wear zero drop shoes. 80%-85% shoes in the market are NOT zero drop. These cause pain in the calfs if you walk for more than 100 steps. Beautiful shoes but these are not for everyone.

Inconsistent sizing

I have the Eastland Barron, Bandera & Baldwin boots in size 13, but the Eastland Jack chukkas are significantly longer in the same size. The size 13 Eastland Jacks I received were beautiful boots, but I had to return them, and they were out of size 12s.
