Perfect!!!

I ordered this medallion not sure what to expect. I read a review that it would not sit flush on the ceiling or wall. What I found was there is so little space between the wall and the edge of the medallion it will not make a difference. If you are looking for something not too ornate and medium size, then this one is perfect. I am very pleased as always with Ekena Millwork's craftsmanship.

Great for the price.

Worked very nicely for my purposes. The only thing it would have been nice to know in the description was that there is a upraised ring on the back of the medallion about 1/2 an inch to an inch in from the edge. (The depth would pretty well match the depth of your drywall). Had I known that, I would have cut the dry wall in the ceiling to accomodate it. Otherwise, worked well.

Won't sit flush with the ceiling

Very disappointed with this. The medallion does not sit flush with the ceiling. the back it is built up and in order for it to be flush with the ceiling you would need to cut a circle out of ceiling. There was no way of knowing this from the pictures available or the description. I'm attaching photos to illustrate what I mean.
