Not for medium skin
If you have a skin color of medium or darker, this will make your skin look ashy and gray. Other than that, the formula seems fine. I’ll probably use up the rest under makeup but I won’t be repurchasing since I wanted something to wear alone.

Great spf coverage but makes me look pale
I very fair skin, so I thought the rose tint would be perfect. I find that it makes me look pale. I love the spf coverage and how it feels on my skin. I will either try no tint or a fair tint next time.

So drying
I have used EltaMD for years and love it. I tried this new version because it doesn't have the pump but it is so drying. After three days, my skin looks dry and like a reptile. Back to the old version which hopefully will change to the new dispenser.

Not as good as the og
I ordered this because my skin is very fair and the original Elta tintedUV 40spf is a little dark on me, as much as I love it! I was hoping this would take its place but it’s a completely different product. It’s pretty liquified in the tube so you have to shake it because the product separates. It feels and acts more like a sunscreen than a moisturizer and the texture is not easy to apply, it doesn’t spread good. Perhaps I got a bad batch but I’m not a fan at all! I’ll go back to the original and just hope they eventually make that one in different shades! Oh and this is supposed to give a glow appearance- to me it just seems to make my face white like sunscreen and no noticeable glow once rubbed in.

Excellent sunscreen!
I’ve only used the EltaMD clear sunscreen before and loved it but it was a little oily for me and made me look greasy so wanted to try something else. I love this sunscreen! It goes on really really smoothly and doesn’t leave a white cast and doesn’t make my skin look greasy! It also made my skin look more even. For reference though, I have pale skin with pink and olive undertones so I’m not sure how this would look on someone with a darker complexion or different undertones (or both!).

So far so good...
The product feels great going on and matches my pale skin beautifully! I've tried dozens of other tinted sunscreens on my face and this one is an excellent shade match. It also does a good job concealing the melasma patches on my face, too.
