Love these things

Whenever there is a higher risk of brushfires, our power company turns off the power. So I have 12 of these Energizer flashlights plugged into various outlets. They automatically turn on when the power goes out or if you unplug them. I love them. I’ve been using these for years. The current ones are much brighter since they’re LED Whereas the older ones were incandescent bulbs

Great Flashlight

I love these flashlights that you leave plugged in for when the power goes out. I use mine as a flashlight in the kitchen to see into some of those dark cupboards, then plug it back in for emergencies.

Good for emergencies

It's bright enough to keep you from tripping over things in the dark, but not enough to read by easily. Lower output helps it last longer, which is good, and can hold you over until you get a bigger flashlight if needed.

Nice size and long lasting charge

Replaced my old incandescent Coleman emergency flashlight. Half the size and twice as bright with the LED. It is the close by handy flashlight and the battery seems to last forever. Like the recept blades tucking away. Would like to see current charge light on it.

fire hazard

Four months after i purchased these flashlights we encountered our first powerfailure. The one light did not work at all and we had noticed that the plastic had melted. The other one did work if I manually turned on the switch but did not come on automatically as advertised. Both lights are now in the garbage as I don't want to risk burning my house down with a defective product.

The red indicator light too bright.

I ordered the 40 lumen light and it will light up a large area when the power fails which is what I wanted in a stand by emergency light. I bought one to test and now I will buy more. Energizer has a good reputation so hopefully it will have a long life. The only drawback is that the red indicator light (which tells you that the unit is operating correctly) is intensely bright which I found annoying but it may not bother others. My solution was to put a piece of frosted tape over the indicator to tone down the brightness and now it is perfect. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star rating

works perfectly

we have already had to use this flashlight during a recent power outage. it sits out of the way in a bathroom, but easy to locate in the dark. the light is very bright. we get a lot of power outages in our area, and the tiny flashlights we had were unreliable - too often we'd pick one up only to find that the batteries had died. and, of course, they were hard to find in the dark. glad i decided to by the energizer emergency flashlight.

Energizer rechargeable emergency flash light

Perfect. I know, I will be safe when the hydro goes out. After I got caught by a power outage while changing my washing machine in the basement, I decided to get one of those. It was very scary as I did not know how long the power would be out. Did not want to be trapped in a dark basement again. This flashlight is handy at any time you need one. No need to look for it in the tool box, hoping that the battery is still working.
