This product is a total lie there is no check valve at all in it just a metal weight

Great debris strainer!

Actually using this to strain debris from a rainwater tank. Hooked it up to the suction end of a battery-powered pump. Works great but had to add a little extra weight to the end of the hose to keep it from "floating". Bought two of these to have a spare handy.

Strainer with check valve

Great product. It has a stainless steel check valve that helps keep the line primed. Also has a weight to keep the strainer from floating.

Total garbage

Bought 2 of these to have a spare. First one fell apart in 2 days and the pieces were lost. The second fall apart twice a day and I have to gather the parts put back together and now I’ll have to try to find a quality filter elsewhere. Total waste of money, these are total garbage.
