This was awesome! I wore it to a costume party/ultimate frisbee tournament, just had to thread an elastic band under my chin and punch holes in the hat corners to hold it on while running around. *You may need to re-attach or better attach the snakes on with hot glue

Cool headpiece, kinda pricey
Bought for my 9 year old daughter, who was Medusa for Halloween. Overall, the piece is pretty cool, lots of detail. The only downsides were the price and that the headpiece needs to be secured with bobby-pins to keep it in place. And even with a net haircover made for use with wigs, it was difficult to hide my daughter's hair underneath. It's something that really tied the costume together though, and no one else had one like it.

Not as pictured, not that great
This headpiece is just ok. First, I did not receive the same one as in the photo. The headpiece I received had 9 snakes instead of 13 and the heads were not all open as in the photo, making for a much more sparse looking head of snakes. One of the snakes was starting to come unglued so it hung to the side sort of awkwardly. The top and back of the headpiece is very lumpy and bumpy. It's supposed to look like the snakes' bodies, but it ends up looking like a cross between a bubble headed alien from a 50's sci-fi movie and a giant head of broccoli. Really not the look I was going for. But, I was short on time so I made it work. Note that the sides come down over the ears, which I found very uncomfortable and irritating, so the first thing I did was trim the bottom of the headpiece so my ears were uncovered. Unfortunately that also meant cutting off the bottom snake on either side, leaving me with only 7 snakes. To reduce the bubble headed alien effect, I covered the headpiece with a wig and cut holes for the snake heads to poke out. Then I took a bunch of smaller plastic snakes and stuck it in the wig to fill it out. The end result wasn't great but it was acceptable. I can't say I'm sorry I bought it - it did serve its purpose - but I definitely wouldn't buy it again.

Great product for price
Great product for price, especially. Added some other cheap snakes and black pipe cleaner (tip) for child's Halloween costume. Does not smell; fit well enough on a 7 year old and adult, alike. Looks great from front; from side and back a little silly but.... who cares.

Gorgon headpiece a hit!
A little cheesy looking, but perfect for our day camp magical creature encounter. The kids were able to sneak up on the "monster" by using mirrors to look at her and hiding behind blankets. It stayed on in the heat of combat (our gorgon had a sword).

Snakes broke off immediately
I get it was only $24 but the snakes came off immediately and one started out broken off

Very cheap quality
Bought this for a one hour presentation for my 9 year old dressed as Medusa from the Lightening Thief. One snake fell off at the house before she even got to school and I stapled it back on. By the end of the presentation 3 snakes were gone. I wouldn't purchase again or try to wear this to a costume party.

Cat Got Your Tongue
Came on time, didn't smell and is fun to wear. It is a little on the cheap side, some of the snake tongues fell off even before it got here and had to be glued back on.
