Works well - simple solution

Very easy to install - I removed the end caps, cut it to length, replaced the end caps, and slipped it into place. This was a very simple process and only took a few minutes to cut it down to length and install. This will hold your towels just fine, but will not support a lot of weight, so should never be used as a grab bar to support yourself getting in / out of the tub. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Great purchase at unbeatable price!

I love my new towel bar. I bought this one as a replacement and after cutting 3/8 of an inch it fit perfectly. I was worried i wouldn’t be able to cut it easily but it was fairly simple. I like it that it has springs on both ends so it makes it easier to place inside . This is one of the best purchases i have made so far.

Too thin but there's a hack to make it work better in grouted in towel racks

I bought this to replace the broken plastic bar that was part of a grouted-in tile bar ends that were popular in mid-20th century houses. Without pulling the tile, I needed a bar with springy ends. But this bar is two narrow. The bar is just under 3/4" and the spring ends are maybe 1/2". When I put it in, it flopped around. But I figured out a hack to correct the issue. I needed to cut it down to 24" so I had some scrap. I cut two piece as long as the size of the cups in the title bar holders. Then I put those in the cups, then I installed the bar using the springy ends pushed in to get into the now smaller cups. So effectively the whole bar is about 3/4" include the part the goes into the cups. For $7.00, this is a viable solution.

Good replacement

If you’re looking for a sturdy bar. I would rate it maybe 3/5 I would not hang anything over 5 pounds and I’m not sure I would trust five. The bar itself is a great replacement as long as your not looking for something to hold heavy items.

It’s fine

The media could not be loaded. It’s great as a replacement rod however, it is much thinner than the traditional size. It moves in the holder.

Unfortunately I got the wrong size and I didn’t have the opportunity of sending it back because I lost the receipt so this didn’t work for me. I’m stuck with one that is too big for my bathroom and now it doesn’t come in 18 inches which really sucks.

It works!

It's not the sturdiest bar but it's better than no bar. Also saved me time on driving it and searching for it at the local hardware store. Used a saw to cut down one end. It was pretty easy with a hand saw. If you can find a stronger bar or look at these in person at a store I would go that route first.

Simple replacement

The bar was slightly too long so I used a saw to shorten it. The instructions say to measure the distance between the inside of the brackets and then cut 1/8 of an inch less than that. It looked like that was going to make it too short, so I actually cut 1/8 longer than the inside distance, and it was still a little shorter than I would have liked it. With the springs on either end, it's fine, but it would have been better a little longer so that more of the bar is inside the brackets rather than the spring part. So don't cut a lot at first and you can always cut more if you need to. It's not very sturdy but it will do. Until it breaks again. $19 is a lot for something that probably cost 12 cents to manufacture, but it arrived quickly and looks fine.
