Exactly what I’d hoped for!
I saw someone on Instagram who used this for a window of hers, so I decided to try it on my she shed/ guest house door. It worked great! I tapped my fingers in the product as I applied it to the window for a textured effect and it was exactly what I wanted it to look like. It provides just enough privacy without blocking the light and we have amazing views here so some of it can still be seen. It was rather difficult to get it all off of my fingers though. A lot of soap and water was used. Also, the product does have a pretty strong smell to it but it does mellow out once it is cured.

Perfect Opaque Medium
This medium is not clear. It is the perfect amount of opaque for a privacy window. Use a round sponge brush to dab it on. Or a 1 inch small soft bristle. Comes off easily if you make a mistake or if you want to change pattern.

Absolutely wonderful!
I absolutely love this stuff! I recently replaced my front door and was looking for something to make the windows more private. I had used this years ago on another home, and thought I would give it a try. I am so happy I did! It lets in all the light but gives me just the right amount of privacy that I wanted. I bought the 8 oz bottle and it treated all 6 panes with plenty left over. I highly recommend this...you won't be disappointed. I just drizzled it only the glass and spread it around and then simply dabbled my finger to give it a textured look. When it dried it looks like melted ice.

Gallery Glass on my 16 lite closet door.
Recently, I installed a bi-fold French 16 lite closet door. I wanted a similar look to the French door very close to it. However, the glass on the closet door allowed everyone to see hanging coats and some tools I keep on hand in there. I thought of applying a glass film but I don't like the way they look. The self-adhesive films always have annoying bubbles. And the static cling films have limited designs. I just wanted an antique look but it had to still allow the light to come through. I have used Gallery Glass years ago, so I decided to use it on my closet door. See my pictures too. I have found that if you keep Gallery Glass too long, it almost doesn't dry anymore. Like the "paint" dries out and doesn't dry clear on your surface completely. I tried to use my old Gallery Glass and it was a failure. It ran down the pane of glass and didn't dry to a clear finish. So I ordered 3 new bottles here and I'm very happy to find the larger bottles. I applied it on the door while still hanging (didn't have to lay the door down flat) and it came out exactly as I wanted. My hubby was not sure what I was doing at first, but once it dried, he came to me and said he really thinks it looks great, better than the clear glass. So I'm very pleased. It takes some patience and time - but all good craft or home décor projects do. My advice would be to use a fresh new bottle. I had to throw out all my old Gallery Glass bottles. Do small areas at a time. Give it a few minutes and go back to check if it might have dripped (if applying to a vertical surface) to wipe off excess. I had to wipe it off the wood mullions a few times. I also had to rework the swirls a few times while it was still wet. My door glass took about 2-3 days to fully dry (depending on temperature and humidity) and become completely clear. Very happy overall!

works great
I used this for a project on a sliding door for a pantry several years ago. I made it so the glass looked beaded but you couldn't see thru it - exactly as I wanted. People always commented on how cool it looked. We are now building another house and i plan on doing the same thing again.

Great DIY privacy for front door panes! Looks professional!
Our front door is beautiful, but six panes of glass for everyone to see right on through. Less than a bottle of this magic potion and we upgraded our lovely door and also have the privacy we desired. When I attempt a "project" I don't worry...... I just go for it! So I opened the bottle, WITHOUT SHAKING as noted, got my 3 middle fingers as gooped up as possible and applied as quickly as possible before the solvent began to get "tacky." I just kept apply to my fingers to keep things wet while I swirled circles ....quickly realizing I needed to get a boarder established around the stained wood of the pane I was working on so that the product would be close to the pane since the swirling motion wouldn't allowing for direct contact where the glass meets the pane with that type of motion. I am right handed and swirled counter clockwise circles, trying to never lift my fingers, but that wasn't possible. It was almost like being a little school girl playing with Elmer's Glue! Yes, I was concerned about my attempt day two after being quite pleased with my results from the first pane. How could you repeat the same pattern consistently 3 more times. Don't worry, this is abstract art, it's a thick watery looking effect and everyone loves it!!! And, if you don't like what you've done, you can wipe it off quickly and try again!

Beautiful and so easy to apply that it is amazing...
I had a mirror with a frame that I wanted to remove. But I also wanted a light and translucent border, so I gave a try on that product. I just add masking tape on the mirror to a get a 2’’ clean cut border, generously applied the product with a cotton ball and removed the masking tape as soon as I finished the job. After 24 hours, I put back the mirror on the wall and my cheap frame mirror became a beautiful, esthetic, decorative part of furniture. I was so happy that I also applied the product on two of my favorite plain glass jars, using my fingers this time. I did 3 coats with 12 hours drying between each of them and the result is incredibly beautiful. I simply love this icy look. You won't have any regrets trying, go for it.

Works
I wanted to do my office doors give them more of a frost it look and it works amazing. Just spread it all on and then use your finger to make little swirls and within 24 hours it dries clear and gives a nice frosted look. If you want it more thicker where you can’t see in you can just add another coat. One bottle did my entire door and I still have some left.

Not impressed, just ok
It’s just ok. Stinks like crazy and it’s a lot of work if you are not covering the entire piece (window, door). Then you gotta try different techniques to see what you like. I did wavy brush and sponge but it leaves a bunch of bubbles. It also chips on the edges. Hopefully it will give my bedroom some privacy. I would not bother with this again. I would go with those films - cleaner application. These things are perhaps good for crafts. Still the stink is terrible!
