Loove this!! And I changed the rules to count to minus as well! Hehe!
I OOVE playing this card game with my nephews, since they were little and now they are 13 and 17. I started to use the negatives too!!! …-100 and my nephews were like, auntie, you can’t do that! Me: why not? It’s counting?! We are doing it! And now we are counting up and down from zero with great fun, winning at +100 or -100 ????????????

Fun math game for all ages!
I bought this game as a gift for a friend who loved it. We played it several times, and it great for practicing mental math skills. There is a little bit of strategy and a bit of luck. I bought a second copy of this to play with my 5th grade students. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because my Zeus statue came squished and won't stand up. It doesn't really affect the playability of the game, but is a bit disappointing. Luckily the one in my friend's gift was fine. We enjoyed the artwork on the game, and if you have a fan of Greek mythology, this is a great addition to your game collection. It's easy to learn, and the rounds go quickly. Update: After introducing this game as a Math Station for my 5th and 6th graders, it soon became a staple in the classroom! They got it out during every indoor recess or down time. I had a regular crew who played it every day while waiting for the bus the last few days of school! They quickly learned to strategize using the power cards while practicing their math skills.

Easy and adaptable
Easy game to learn for all ages. I adapted it for use with students with visual impairments by brailling the cards and producing a “cheat sheet” in large print and Braille for students to keep by them to refer to for each character card.

A game fit for the gods
This was bought as a small packable game to go, to use as a way to pass the time with my kids. The rules are simple and easy to learn, with special Greek gods cards that make things interesting. Play can be fast, and is a fun way to practice addition and subtraction.

Perfect for travel and killing time
Loved this game way more than I expected. It is perfect for killing time with the kids when waiting for food to arrive at restaurants, etc. Game moves fast and anyone can pick up quick. Luck element makes it so all kids have a chance. Makes them use mental math, too. Easily fits in purse. Buy it!

VERY fast paced!
Zeus on the Loose is a very fast paced card game. The Zeus statue flies around the table like crazy. In fact, it probably takes more time to actually swap the statue around than to take your turn. You slap cards down at a frenzy like Crazy 8s... except there's a good bit of math involved here. You have to round up to the nearest multiple of ten quite often. The goal of the game is to get the card pile known as "Mount Olympus" up to 100 or more with Zeus in your posession. You do this by playing number cards, trying to make each move come out to a multiple of 10 so you can steal or keep Zeus. There are many character cards as well that do various actions such as swapping the number of Mount Olympus around, skipping players, or making the count go to 50 or 99 (Hera does the 99 one). Each of these cards has a different god or goddess on it (such as Hera). The pace is fast, and your addition skills need to be sharp as a razor to stay on top of things. My 5 year old struggles with this and needs a great deal of help, and the 7 year old does fine but often forgets to draw her card after her turn. I enjoy the frenzied pace of the game myself but both of the kids are not as enthusiastic and prefer slower, more strategic games where you mull over your strategy such as Horse Show and Sleeping Queens. It is a fun game, and those that are looking for something that moves at a breakneck pace will be well pleased with this purchase. The cards are of high quality and the Zeus statue (though in a single color - without painted details) is well made. It's a good game to break out now and then on game nights.

Great game to play with kids
Wanted something different and this game delivers. My grandkids 7 and 9 caught on quickly, they were really intrigued with the god cards and understood what each one did…I did not win a game! It is a quick game, and full of surprises…they enjoyed stealing Zeus from one another. It also got them to practice adding their numbers. A win win from all sides! I love to see them learning without knowing.

Great game!
This addictive game combines a great theme (Greek mythology) with good tactics and some basic math thrown in. It plays quickly and we often bring it out with our 8yo son, equally enjoyed by him and us adults.Highly recommended, as well as the other Gamewright card games, where the ones we have tried all have great staying power: - Sleeping Queens is currently our family's favourite card game, requested over and over again by our 5yo and (almost) 8yo and equally enjoyed by us parents. While the age recommendation is from 8 years, our 5yo has no problems with the rules and tactics of the game (although she does need help with basic addition which is a minor component). - Duck Duck Bruce (simple push your luck game, perfect from as early as 3-4 and great fun for adults as well, our favourite after Sleeping Queens, perfect to bring to restaurants/airports) - Rat a Tat Cat (the first Gamewright game we tried with our then 5,5 yo, a firm favourite for a year or so until displaced by Duck Duck Bruce, but still very much recommended.) Frog Juice also get great reviews, will be ordering it for Christmas this year! (Come to think of it, we have also tried Too Many Monkeys which is quite uninteresting, at least to adults. Try the above ones instead.)
