After trying to replace my defrost fan and motor, thinking that was the issue, I continued to have freezing issues in my fridge. Hoping it wasn't the heating element, I picked up this thermostat. It was a quick swap, 2 wire nuts and some electric tape and my fridge has been perfect ever since. Saved a lot of $$$ on a repair man.

Installed with timer and fixed defroster problem
Easy to install on GE profile refrigerator. Installed with timer and it fixed problem of defroster not working.

Seems to be the correct part
The part has the right temperature markings and the same clip has the one it is replacing. Replaced the assumed defective part and the defrost cycle appears to be OK. We will see in summer when humidity is high.
