Gorgeous! Sturdy!

I purchased this mailbox as I had purchased this brand's mailbox pist kit - not realizing it was Venitian Bronze, rather than black. However, it turned out better than imagined, as this mailbox, in the same color, was half price! Easy to install, door holds tight and in the sun, it has a slight sparkle. I love it!

Nice box!

Nice big box and magnetic catch holds the door closed in heavy winds. My old box would blow open on windy days.

Almost perfect

I bought this box to upgrade an old "standard" box. This larger one is sized to receive magazines and smaller packages, saving our mail carrier the trouble of hauling stuff to our porch. So the size is great! The not as great part is that within a month there were already rust spots on the handle and one area of the inside of the door. These could be addressed with a bit of paint, but not what I wanted on a new box. All in all, it does dress things up a bit, along with the custom numbers we ordered off of Amazon (not those cheapy ones from the local box store).

Much Better than the One We Had

Nice, sturdy mailbox. Love the magnetic catch -- easy open and positive close. *However* -- hardware may rust prematurely. We bought this to match our neighbor's box (they have the exact same mailbox and we share a post). I noticed that theirs, which is about 3 years old, has faded ever so slightly and the silver-painted hardware (flag and door handle) had started rusting a bit around the edges. Noticing this, I took the hardware off and put a couple of coats of Rustoleum on it. Hopefully, this will prevent rust (on ours and our neighbor's, which I also fixed up). The construction, itself, is solid.

Absolutely reliable

The mailbox is well made, has been holding up in the weather (no moisture getting in to mess up the mail), opens and closes easily. Some of the negative reviews concerned me, but none of them now seem relevant, although, i did not mount it on a post, it is sitting on a stone platform I would buy it again in a heartbeat, but ti looks like it will last so long, i may not have the chance

Looks good, assembly quality could be better

This mailbox is classy looking with the rubbed bronze body and the satin nickel-colored hardware. However, the spot welds along the back wall leave a lot of narrow gaps for dust and moisture to get in, so we sealed it with silicone. The magnet behind the handle holds the door shut just fine. Time will tell how long the finish lasts. Overall a good purchase so far, but the entire perimeter of the back wall should be welded to the sides.

Very sturdy mailbox

This mailbox is well built and large enough for decent sized packages. It has a secure magnetic latch. Very happy with it and it's worth the extra money.
