Great lightweight pans with nice lids. Update: Non-stick in saute/fry pans has failed

The Achilles heel of all non-stick pans is that they just don't last. Initially the non-stick was excellent, and still is for the pots. The fry pans are starting to stick a bit and they aren't that old. It may be the way I use them since this happens with every non-stick fry pan I have ever used. Update: After using the cook set, still happy with the pots and covers. Not happy with the non-stick on the frying pans. It has failed, just like other brands, only these failed much quicker. We took great care to use only nylon utensils and have never used metal ones. Have never overheated the pans or used them in the oven. We took great care with the pans. However after about 2 months of use everything sticks when frying - eggs, meats, veggies, etc. In fact, the places where they stick leave residue which is actually hard to remove. I will now order a different brand of non-stick fry pans that we have had better luck with, i.e. the non-stick has lasted much longer. Still looking for a "magic" brand where the non-stick lasts a long time. We love the design and the way they look. We are careful to never use any metal or other very hard/sharp items when cooking with them. I haven't found any non-stick pan which will take that kind of abuse regardless of what the vendor promises. There may be a set that actually lives up to this promise but I haven't found it yet. Overall, we are happy with the set. It is a good selection of the pans we need the most. We really got them because they are lightweight and they really are. My wife was having more and more trouble lifting the professional heavy pots we have had for over 30 years, which still are excellent for cooking with but not non-stick. The Gotham set pots are easy to pick up and maneuver on the stove, counter, and the sink. Heavy pots and pans tended to bang against our stainless steel sink and I would really worry about chipping an enamel sink. There is less worry with the Gotham set. The lids are really nice and have a built in vent hole. The handles of the pots haven't been getting hot. The vendor does say not to use any oil or butter as it would not be necessary but we do any way, especially for foods that we want to fry on the sides more or flavor the dish while cooking. Overall, we are happy with this set. We did buy a larger fry pan though. The small fry pan is a good size for us for breakfast and smaller size items. The larger one in the set is also a very useful size. But occasionally we need a bigger fry pan so we bought the matching one that is available. If you want a good looking, lightweight set you should consider this one. But see the Update note above about failed non-stick!!!

Very Nice Set

These pans are indestructible. I throw them in dishwasher all the time and come out looking as clean as when I bought them. Last night I thought I ruined one by leaving some gravy in the pan on the stove. I tried to wash off, would not. So I fill pan with water and let it soak in dish soap and water all night. In morning everything this washed off with little rubbing. We've owned all kinds from high end to medium and these are clearly the best.

I’m pretty picky with pots/pans but these are super nice. All can be used on stovetop or in oven which is great. They’re sturdy and hold up well. Will purchase again when it’s time for new!

Beautiful pots and pans with glass tops. Super easy to clean--everything slides right off, except around the knobs that connect the handle to the base- but not a big deal. The handles are hollow so they won't get hot and burn you, but I guess that could potentially get dirty in there and be hard to clean, I guess, but that would be under a rare and weird circumstance. The only set back I would say is that the handles on the glass tops do get hot and can potentially burn you, so be careful. I would love to purchase an additional larger pan to match for special occasions and cooking for a larger amount of people. Absolutely love this set!

Gotham does not disappoint!

Value for money, Gatham cookware is some top shelf equipment for the kitchen! Sturdy, solid, oven/cooker safe! Batman would approve! ????????

beautiful looking and wowza non-stick

I took a chance ordering pots online, but these did not disappoint. Beautiful hammered copper exterior for a fraction of the price of full copper pots and the non-stick interior is fabulous. Truly no oil or butter required (have to wait to see if that stands up over time). A breeze to clean. They heat up well so I actually had to use a lower heat than with my old non-stick fry pan. The large fry pan is quite deep so good for stir fries, and both fry pans have almost vertical sides, so the cooking area is better than most, especially on the small pan. The medium pot lid fits the small fry pan, which is a bonus. The only thing that makes you notice they are not top-of-the-line is the handles, which are perhaps not as smooth on the edges as high-priced cookware, but all in all a lovely product and i may order another set for my cottage.

I’d been looking for new pots and pans and repeatedly kept going back to these, the heat distributions great and they’re very sturdy. They look great and aren’t heavy at all. Very pleased with my purchase and the price was a lovely bonus.

Amazing

You can scramble eggs without oil or butter, the non stick is that good. Everything slides right off them. Take care not to scratch - if you use anything metal it’ll stuff up. Good looking too!
