Inspiriert vom anspruchsvollen Tempo und den Größenbeschränkungen des Großstadtlebens verfügt die zweifach gefaltete Brieftasche von Taxicat über zahlreiche Kartenfächer, einen Geldscheinbereich, ein magnetisches Druckknopfgehäuse und ein äußeres Kleingeldfach. Diese Version des Taxicat verfügt über eine Außenseite aus genarbtem Rindsleder und eine Innenseite aus dem ultradünnen Nylon-Mikrofasermaterial von Big Skinny, wodurch sie dünner als eine typische Brieftasche bleibt. Dieses Portemonnaie bietet Platz für 20 bis 25 Plastikkarten in voller Größe in seinen drei Kartenfächern, zwei extra tiefen Aufbewahrungsfächern und einem Ausweisfach mit einem durchsichtigen Kunststofffenster (für einfachen Zugriff auf Ihren Führerschein oder Arbeitsausweis). Die extrabreiten Taschen sind mit einer gummierten Beschichtung ausgekleidet, um ein Herausrutschen der Karten zu verhindern. Die Taxicat-Geldbörse misst 4-5/8 x 3-1/8 Zoll (und ist im leeren Zustand 5 mm dünn). Die erste Big Skinny-Geldbörse wurde von Kiril Stefan Alexandrov (dem Firmengründer) entworfen, weil er es hasste, auf einer dicken, schweren Lederbrieftasche zu sitzen. Indestructible and attractive

My adult kids gave me a Big Skinny for my birthday in 2013. I loved it so much that I bought 2 more in case it wore out. Well, here it is 2023 and I’m still using the original one! It is so durable it hardly looks worn at all. Small but mighty: it holds a ton. A good leather wallet for under $30? I can’t recommend this wallet enough.

Nice but no keychain attachment

I like to have my keys on my wallet but there is no way to attach except the coin pouch zipper which came off when I tried to put my keys on there so as long as you don’t wanna attach keys it’s very nice

It is skinny!

So glad I found Big Skinny wallets. They are fabulous: lightweight and very durable. The only problem I had was my first Big Skinny wallet was a light color and by the time I thought about washing it regularly, it was a bit too funky. Still going strong so I could have used it, just not attractive. So I bought this leather one. I was afraid it would be too thick, but it wasn't! And since it's black, obviously it doesn't look dirty. Highly highly recommend these wallets. The model I chose has a zippered pocket for my change, which makes it perfect for my needs.

True to this wallet's description.

What I wanted was a bi-fold wallet. This is it. Opens to perfect window for driver's license or ID. There are an ample amount of slots to hold cards and photos. There is a full length opening for paper money and extras behind the slots' area and a zippered coin pouch at the wallet's back. All this in a truly slim wallet. I have been using this wallet for some months now and it has held up perfectly. I recently bought another Big Skinny Leather Wallet. This one as a gift.

Nice minimalist wallet

I don't like carrying a big purse, so I have been using a small cloth wallet I got a a craft show. It worked pretty well, but the velcro was not holding anymore and it did not have a change pocket. In looking for a replacement, I found the Big Skinny wallet. It fit everything I was looking for; small/slim wallet, with a change holder and preferably no velcro. Initially I had planned to buy the Taxicat in fushia material, but the red leather one looked more sophisticated so I went with that. I also liked that they are a US company based in Cambridge, MA. I bought this from Amazon, and it was shipped direct from Big Skinny. It arrived 2 days earlier than expected in perfect condition. The leather on the wallet is soft and smooth. The snap closure is magnetic and works well. I only have around 14 cards in the wallet and these fit well. I do have a few oversize cards that do not fit in the main slots, but fit in the inside slots. This could probably hold up to 22 cards, but who carries that many? The change pocket is small, but sufficient for my needs. The only disappointment is that the wallet was made in China :( ... I was sort of expecting it to be made in the USA, but the quality is still very good. Even with it's small size, it is still a little big too big for most women to carry in a pants pocket, but I think it would be idea for a man who wants a nice minimalist wallet (in black).

The Little Wallet that Could!

Originally I wanted to purchase the Big Skinny trifold wallet in red leather - I had seen a friend's and I really liked it. Since Amazon only had black leather available and I wasn't interested in the microfiber style, I decided to try the smaller Leather Taxicat Bi-Fold Wallet in Red. It came in two days (of course) with fabulous Amazon Prime. On opening the package, my first impression was - "Love the red leather" and "boy is this small". My fears about the size were groundless. I opened it and loaded it with money (fits fine in the single slot provided), license (in the see-through slot with opening that makes it easier to slide out), credit card, debit card, AAA card, health insurance cards and some business cards that I always take along. Then I folded up some bigger bills and put them in one of the areas under the card slots - at this point I had everything I needed for my trip, the Taxicat still had plenty of room for more, closed easily and was still so thin...it fit easily in my small travel purse ( I also tried it in my small dress purse and it was great there too) with room to spare. It easily fit into the pocket of my jeans. This little wallet can do it all and still fit in a small space. I really love it and would recommend it. It's a bargain at the price. Yes, as others have stated, it's kind of basic looking but the red color is FUN and it more than does the job. I'm looking forward to using it on my trip and will update my review if there are any issues.

This line of wallets are just the best.

This is now my third Big Skinny Wallet and not sure I'll ever buy a different brand. They last for years and years. Per Amazon the last one was purchased in 2017 and I think the first one also lasted for at least 5-6 years as well. I just love how light and thin the wallet is vs similar wallets from other brands. If you're on the fence I'd say go for it as you won't be disappointed.
