Much better than traditional, but has one drawback
I found this floss while on the hunt for a water-pik. I have always used the flat waxy floss my dentist gave me. I always struggled to floss regularly because I always struggle to get a good grip on the floss. I would end up using a 3 ft length so that I could wrap it around fingers, wrists, whatever. I saw comments on expandable floss and thought why not. After using it a few times, here is what I found: 1. Yes, it does seem to do a better job than traditional floss. This floss fits through very tight spots, then expands to fill the area between teeth at the gum line. Some reviews mention pulling huge chunks of food out using this floss, even after careful brushing. I am not sure what is up with those people, and I cant claim this pulled long buried food out of my teeth. But it did "feel" like it was going a better job, and I can tell the between spaces are clean. 2. The thing I love the most: It is SO MUCH EASIER to work with. I can just about hold it between finger and thumb with no wrapping, and still use it. It is just grippier in my hands. So now I use a much smaller piece. As others mention, it takes about 10 seconds in water for the floss to expand. I tend to cut of a piece, put it under the faucet in my hand, and pretty quickly it is ready to go. I did not find this to be an issue, as I quickly got used to doing this before brushing. So after putting brush down, floss is more than ready. The only negative I encountered was having the floss break apart in a very tight space. I contributed to this by going back and forth (a lot) in a prior spot just before the break. Once the piece was broken off and between my teeth, the feeling was not at all uncomfortable, but still one I wanted to immediately have cease. Its like a deeply instinctive reaction. Removing it was actually easy. I just grabbed a fresh strip, and flossed that gap. The broken fibers came right out. This has happened only once in about five uses, but I wanted to mention, since it never happed with my old flosses. Overall, I am sold. This is my floss from now on. Much easier to use, which means I floss more often and more thoroughly.

Good oral hygiene
The dental floss is just what I wanted. It is what my dentist suggested. The product was delivered as promised and in pristine condition.

My dentist says this is the best kind of floss for you teeth! I've had trouble finding this exact expanding type in stores so I'm glad it's available here.

Recommend this dental floss
This expanding dental floss is like mesh. It expands as you use it. Does a better job cleaning between teeth as the mess expands to cover a larger area.

Excellent floss
I actually ordered this by mistake, thought it was a bridge threader BUT I tried this out and it cleans so much better than the other brands I have used. Will be ordering it in the future.

Its better than non expanding, cheaper than coco floss, but not as good as the old listerine woven. As some reviewers have mentioned, it seems to expand more AFTER you use it, but even un-expanded its still decent, especially if you wait for a sale... Also the lil containers are so nice you hate to toss them when empty.

Best floss for tight contacts and plaque removal
I tried a lot of flosses after Oral-B stopped making their wonderful floss. This is the best I've found. It's a little more likely to shred than the old Oral-B but much less than most other thin flosses. It fluffs up as you use it and so does a much better job removing plaque between teeth, than most thicker waxed flosses.

Are these the real thing???
I am a regular user of the Gum expanding dental floss which I have previously bought at the drug store. I was surprised that I was not getting the same quality with these. I found these thinner and easier to shred in your teeth. I compared the packaging and printing on the dispenser and found the printing style to be different on the back side from the ones from the drug store. Are these the standard ones sold in the drug store or are these irregular ones or possibly an attempted knock off? I have only used one out of the six so far so I can’t say that they are all like that . I have to say that I was disappointed.

Worst floss I've ever used
Seriously, this is some terrible stuff. For those of you looking for a more economical version of Listerine's Ultraclean stretchy floss, this is NOT it. It has NO elasticity at all -- don't believe the reviews/reviewers who indicate that it stretches. It does not. Basically, it looks like standard floss and is supposed to 'open' once it's between the teeth, but it just shredded repeatedly. I found it unusable. Go with something else. You've been warned.

Venian los 6 en una bolsa de plastico sellada. Nunca he utilizado hilo dental así que mi opinión no puede ser muy objetiva porque no sé cómo funcionan otras, posiblemente me compre uno de otra marca para comparar. Esta me la recomendo mi dentista así que por eso la compre. En realidad que no se expande todo el hilo, creo que esta diseñado para que únicamente ciertas partes lo hagan.

Parece un hilo dental normal y corriente, pero en cuanto lo deslizas las primeras veces entre los dientes, parece que se despelucha, ensancha y se hace esponjoso, lo que le confiere el poder de arrastrar mejor lo que se acumula entre los dientes. Todo un descubrimiento, ya que en una visita al dentista me lo recomendó y ahora que lo he probado, no quiero otro. Lo recomiendo 100% si lo pruebas no querrás otro

Unique awesome cleaning floss
I thought I’d try this ‘expanding floss’ as I’d never heard of anything like it before. It’s really neat as it actually does expand when it goes between your teeth- there’s a thin wax layer that melts when it mixes with your saliva this allows for the floss to cover more of the area between your teeth and honestly gets more plaque and debris out. Very cool! I wouldn’t be surprised if more floss use this technology in the future as it’s such a major improvement over the traditional floss. Will buy again!
