Bows are bad

There are only 2 colors of bows with 4 colors of ribbon. The bows are somewhat deformed and you can't get the paper off the back of any of them to stick on the package so they had to be taped. The paper is great. The ribbon is hard to use because all the colors are wrapped on the same spool and they get tangled.

Paper is average thickness but overall a nice complete wrapping set

Just as Hallmark has several different lines of cards (signature, versus the value line of “all occasion”), they also have different qualities of wrapping paper. This set offers a lot of bang for your buck by including materials that are a little cheaper to produce. This means you get a lot of product (3 rolls of paper, 4 spools of ribbon, 10 bows, and 5 sheets of to/from stickers) for a decent price. What this also means though is that the paper is thinner than their top of the line product and the bows and ribbon are nothing fancy. Even though they aren’t premiere products, Hallmark still steps up to the plate by ensuring that their paper is vivid, has the cut lines on the back, the bows stay together and stick well, and everything is extremely well packaged so that your wrapping supplies don’t get crushed in the mail (for example, the bows come in their own separate internal box to prevent them from being smashed). I had recently purchased a set of folded wrapping paper (non-rolls) with gift tags from Hallmark and the paper seems to be about twice as thick as this is. I was surprised both times: by how thick the Christmas paper was and again how thin this was in comparison. This isn’t dollar store thin paper though, it doesn’t tear taking it out of the plastic wrap protecting it. Just.. I expected more after my last order. I will keep in mind that they have various paper thicknesses. As far as the designs of this paper go, two are “Happy Birthday” paper which are cute and unisex. The third could be used for anyone and could suit a lot of occasions since it is rainbow color striped. It coordinates well with the other two rolls. Speaking of coordination, the bows, ribbon, and gift tags all match extremely well. Overall, this is standard quality of paper with decent decorations included. It isn’t going to knock anyones socks off but it looks very nice and comes at an ok price - You may find the same amount for cheaper non-Hallmark brand at a big box store but you’d spend a lot of time in the store picking out coordinating paper, bows, and tags (and to me time is worth a lot).

Good set, but not highest quality

This set is nice, especially if you don't already have bows and ribbons on hand. After purchasing Hallmark paper for Christmas wrapping that was foil and brown paper and very thick and sturdy, the quality does not seem as high. Better than dollar store paper, but not "ooh, this is nice paper." The wrapping papers all coordinate with each other and the bows and ribbons, and they are all pretty much gender and age-neutral, so this one kit can work for all your birthday needs if you don't want a bunch of different papers hanging around. The bows came nicely packaged and, for the most part, un-squished. I would like to have seen more color choices in the bows, other than red and white, but overall, this is a decent set.

Quality Wrapping Paper. Bland.

Glad to have some wrapping paper on hand for my wife’s birthday. My ever meticulous daughter wrapped up the gifts and it turned out great. Paper is of a good weight, but not premium. Wish the designs were more exciting. A good choice for impersonal gifts.

Hallmark is great.

Can't really expect anything less than a hallmark product. I am a SUCKER for good wrapping paper, that is thick and cuts well. This is it! Plus it comes with everything you need to make your gift look beautiful. I love using ribbons and I think it's a great way to add flair. Great quality and all inclusive set for all your gift wrap needs!

great set, storing it in the box

The thing I like most about this set is that it’s specific to birthdays (not Christmas) and very generic. A lot of birthday wrapping is gender or theme specific and I don’t want to store a bunch of different kinds. I also love the care they took in shipping it, with a separate box inside for the big, nice bows to not get smashed. The ribbon is really wide but does curl with scissors. There are also sheets of labels that match the wrapping paper. It has everything! I actually am storing it all in the original box to keep the bows looking nice and to keep it separate from my other wrapping stuff. The back of the wrapping paper has a grid to help you cut and it is recyclable. It’s not any thicker than normal wrapping paper, if that’s what you are looking for. I’m really happy with the set and recommend it.

Great paper and bows

As expected from hallmark, this paper looks great - bright colors and patterns, without any accidental offsets. The paper is thicker than most which makes it easy to cut and fold without tearing it on box corners and the like. The bows also look good and stuck easily.

So pretty!

This birthday wrapping paper set is so bright and pretty! It comes with everything you need - bows, sticker tags, ribbon, and of course the wrapping paper itself. I love that this Hallmark wrapping paper is thick and can be cut easily, but doesn't tear easily.
