Nice Underpants, but They Run Small

I like that these panties are 100% cotton and have thick, covered elastic around the waist and comfortable elastic around the legs. They seem to be well sewn and high quality both In materials and workmanship. The colors are calming and I love the ditzy print on the two pair of print undies. If you can, order a size or two larger than you usually take. I usually get a size smaller than I ordered, but I wanted underpants that were a little roomier because I am not as active as I used to be. These feel small compared to the one-size-smaller size I usually wear. They are also 100% cotton, so expect them to shrink a little. I will wash these in cold water and line dry them. Maybe they will stretch a bit with wear. Overall, though I’m pretty happy with these and think they are worth the price.

50/50 product

I purchased two packs of these. What wasn’t there to love? Organic cotton, bikini style fit, nice colors. It seemed I would be satisfied through and through. After all, I’ve worn Hanes most of my life, and knew the fit would be just what I wanted, and their quality is typically up there, especially if they took the time to go 100% organic cotton. One of the packages absolutely lived up to that expectation. The second package came with holes in the crotch. Every single pair. Either at the front or at the back of the reinforced area. To pay what I did for these, even on Amazon, that’s kind of sad. The entire package will likely not have quite the lifespan I was hoping for, and so I will end up replacing them sooner rather than later. True, they’re cheaper than most brands, but honestly, I was hoping to get a few more wears before the “bottom falls out” ???? that’s why they get four stars overall and three for value. The intact package, they’re all I could’ve ever wanted in Hanes underwear.

Decent underwear for home/sleep

I got these because they are 100% cotton and needed such undies for sleep. They don’t cause wedgies. The seams curl up a bit on the butt cheeks and the seam across the back of the crotch are high enough to probably cause visible panty lines. If you don’t want to wear your thongs, synthetic or fancy underwear to sleep, these work well. I wouldn’t recommend these for day wear with leggings or tight pants unless you’re in a place of not minding. I got the size 5S and am an XS usually in underwear. I have a smaller bum and these fit well, perhaps a little high in the back waistline, but that’s probably due to my shape. I’d guess most people with more curve could size up.

Size up one size if you anticipate shrinkage

Because of review comments about this style of panties fitting more snugly than in the past, I deliberated with the size chart but still ordered my usual size because the dimensions for my usual exceeded my measurements. It turned out that they did fit just right with a bit of extra room, which I prefer. I liked the new styling (new to me, at least). The panties are so so soft. However, I have always laundered everyday underwear in hot water and medium dryer. It seemed to me that there was more shrinkage in this underwear than with previous versions of this all-cotton underwear. After laundering, the panties still fit ok in the rear but they fit more like bikini underwear in the front.

Cotton underwear

The cut of the briefs are good and they are comfortable . However, the labeling is very misleading…..the set of 6 says it is made of ‘organic cotton’ , but on the inside of the panties it does not say organic cotton, it just says ‘100% cotton’. If something is organic, the fabric labeling should say the same. These do not. Also, the package says ‘made in Thailand’ , but when you look at the underwear’s label, it says, ‘made in Mexico’. So, which is it? And, what type of cotton is the actual product constructed from? 100% cotton or ‘organic cotton?! Who knows where these are made, or what they are made of? I find this disingenuous , especially coming from such a well known brand such as Hanes .

Comfortable and fit perfectly

I usually buy Hanes underwear and like them, but these are especially soft and comfortable. Perhaps it is because they are made from organic cotton. I'm not sure, but they are very comfortable and fit perfectly.

I'm not sure what is up with Hanes lately? Package came labelled as hipster but fits more like a bikini and picture on website of patterns in package was not what was received - totally different. What a waste of money.
