Bought 2 of these…. Smaller one is silent but 52” has very loud humming and ticking noise. Very disappointed ☹️

Good quality, but not ideal.

1. Don't buy 36" for small room, it looks chunky and out of place 2. It has the option to mount on slanted ceiling so it moves back and forth whenever u turn it on. 3. The chains run through the outer rim for the the light and not only sound annoying when turning on or off, between that and the tilt it feels like it's gonna fall apart. 4. It is quiet, a little too quite on the lower settings, and the fan noise is half the reason I got it, it helps me sleep

Great Fan!

Update Nov. 2019: I moved and this fan moved with me. It’s still excellent as ever. In fact it got quieter once I installed it in my new home. Love it still, and it looks so good. Probably going to buy another one. Original review: This fan is overall a great product. Bottom line up front: it’s a relatively quiet unit that moves a great amount of air (for a bedroom at least). It’s a handsome fan and I really like the way it looks and performs. It’s well built for the most part and is sturdy. For the price I wish there were a little more “features” but this is the model’s premium finish, so you pay more. And on the finish: very nice. It’s not quite nickel but it’s not quite chrome. Very classy and modern look to it. The blade finish on the darker side of the blades does not match what Hunter Fan has displayed in their online computer generated images, but it looks nice. The lighter side is a very nice gray color. Air movement is great as mentioned earlier. It’s not a dead silent fan, but I like a little bit of a hum when I sleep at night. My house is older and has thin walls/ceilings, so noise carries more. It might not be as noisy for you. Either way it’s not a noisy fan. Typical fan hum as to be expected. The light: Ok so I will say the light output is absolutely horrible. Hunter Fan painted the inside of the glass shade with white paint, and as a result a dim glow shines out. So... I stripped the paint out of the inside of the shade and the light output is much brighter. I’m sure this voids some sort of warranty for glass, but that’s something I’m willing to lose for better light output. The light pattern is more downward and direct but it nicely lights up my room. If you’re not comfortable stripping the white paint off the shade, I would keep the low light output in mind. I include pictures with the light on after I removed the white paint. I just installed it today and will update as needed, but so far I give it 5 stars and highly recommend!

Fabulous Fan-NO flush mount, but still low profile

This is a stylish update to our older Hunter fan. Don't bother with any other brand for quality and zero noise. Misleading description leads one to believe it may be flush mountable, trust me, it's not. Did everything to determine this including calling Hunter. That being said, installing the shorter down rod included, it doesn't hang down very much at all. It works with our 9' ceiling, and would even work with an 8', especially after shortening the pull chains and removing the extra clunky looking dangling logo charm. I want another of these in my den! Light fixture is a little dim, but with other lighting from lamps and windows in the room, it works fine for us. It just won't work well if you are relying on it alone to light a room. Lovely style update at such an affordable price. Out with the old "saloon style" Hunter and in with the "modern farmhouse" decor! Love, love, love this fan.

Light is not very bright

I loved this ceiling fan as far as style. It matches perfectly with our farmhouse theme, but the light is so dim. It doesn't even come close to light up our whole living room. We asked an electrician and he told us which bulbs to purchase to get the most bright and they still didn't provide much more. He said that the only area the light can shine through is the very bottom and usually they can emit light out from the sides, but this one has it enclosed all around the sides. Its almost like a spotlight, just lights up what is directly under it. I didn't even think about that when picking out a ceiling fan. We do love this ceiling fan but just wanted to warn others of the dim lighting.

Cute look & moves air well.

Was a little tougher to install than expected and a little louder than I thought. Once we adjusted it, the fan is at a tolerable sound level. 3 speeds for the fan is nice and if seriously moves some air which is great for an upstairs bedroom. Light is bright and an LED. NO remote came with the fan... love the look & height from ceiling.

Love the look of this Fan!

Love this fan and it's style. It's in my kitchen and you can see it from the entrance of the house, so I wanted something different. We didn't want a remote so this was perfect! It really moves the air in the space. My only thing is I need to reinstall it. I didn't realize there was a smaller down rod included ,my fault for not going through all the pieces before I started and the parts section of the book did not list it. I want the light closer to the ceiling so as soon as I get free time, it needs to be corrected.

decent fan but color on photo from manufacture is misleading

I ordered this model specifically for the color shown in the image and paid more that color. Unfortunately that color is not what the actual color is. Amazon sent an entirely new fan so that I could switch out blades but they were the same off color as before. Buyer beware the golden color which looks a bit rustic and has a warm hue in the photo does not exist! It is a pale cool hue color and doesn't look anything like the picture. The fan itself is quiet and overall looks nice. The light is dim but I have other recessed lights in my room so that is not an issue for me.
