If you're lean and hard you'll love these ...so will the girls!
I love these under my wetsuit or workout pants they hold you tight but don't hinder movement for squats or swimming they dry fast and fit bitchen. I'm 5'6 130lbs, waist 30 slim build.I suggest going 2 sizes up. by the chart i'm a sm...i could wear them...but for giggles i tried a medium much better......I really wanted to be able to wear them by themselves without looking weird so i tried a large......fits good best so far. I'd buy a truckload of these IF they weren't so spendy that's why only 4 stars...key take away: if you want them tight (squeeze your love handles just a bit)or are totally cut and you are bigger than me go up one size they will have plenty of compression fit if you want them to fit like jammers go up two sizes.......I hope they'll send me a free pair i dig these!

Keep my Go-Nads very warm while wakeboarding!
I bought these to wear while I wakeboard at early season and end of season when its colder out. To keep the 'nads' warm and take the chill out when you first jump in off the boat. They too fit a little small, but I believe that is what you want. The material is strong and stretchy. Of course I wear my board shorts over top of these, therefore the color and look was not important to me. I am NOT the tighty-whitey type. And I am not the tight-biker type. I'm just NOT cool with wearing something like these straight up without any shorts over them. Anyway, they work well and do the job for me. They are just thick enough to keep me warm mid-body level....not too thick like a wetsuit to where you can barely move. They are exactly what I was looking for and could probably be used for many different purposes (aside from wakeboarding, water sking) like hunting in the cold, biking, hiking, jogging to prevent chaffing, etc.

I love these shorts. I wear them under my swim trunks and they supply ample warmth so I can enjoy the cold June ocean water in Wildwood, Nj. I'm also wearingHyperflex Wetsuits Men's 1.5-mm Amp-3 Short Sleeve Top which is also great. The current ocean water temperature where I'm at is 67*, a little on the cooler side. I ordered the large which seem to fit my 35" waist just like a Jammer would. Their website list large as 35-37 which for my 35" waist plus small little belly is a perfect fit, if I was any bigger I would probably go up a size. I like these so much that I'm going to order a backup pair. I also think I'll be wearing these in July and August even when the water is a little warmer. I must admit I have no experience with these kinds of products but at the end of the day I'm very happy with my purchase. Now I'm wondering if my regular jammers would have supplied any added warmth and will test that theory on a short beach day.

Perfect for that extra bit of winter protection
I bought these shorts to help prolong the life of my 3/2 mm wetsuit through a Southern California winter. The shorts provided just the extra warmth I needed around my core and also made slipping into and out of a wetsuit easier to do. I was originally looking for a thin 1mm spring suit that could fit under my wetsuit but settled on the shorts when I could not find one of these with a reasonable price. The price tag of the shorts made them worth a risk. The shorts turned out to be great for summer too, allowing me to start surfing in boardshorts (with the Hyperflex shorts underneath)even when the water temperature was not perfect for boardshorts only.

Great for guys who cringe at getting into cold water. Hide this under your bathing suit!
I am the typical guy who is a wuss at getting in the water at pools or the lake. Guys know the part I am talking about. So, this is perfect. You wear this under your bathing suit and you can slip in like a normal person. :) It's perfect. It also helps for the awful part of getting out of the water, when the ice cold bathing suit is sticking to you. So, for me, it's a godsend. I can seem like a normal tough guy at the lake, instead of inching my way in and out like a wuss.

Tiny!!
I've been using a polyolefin top for a few months now, both in pool training and under a wetsuit and have found it really good. Provides a bit of warmth, doesn't affect buoyancy and protects against the wind. So I thought I'd get the shorts. My jaw dropped when I opened the packet. They are tiny!!! I'm a Medium in virtually everything. This Medium looked like a kid's size. If this is an indication of size, I'm going to need at least an L if not an XL -- which is just bizarre.

Sizing must be for kids.... way too small
I usually wear a Size M but looked at reviews and decided to go up a size to L and it is still way too small and I doubt XL would fit as well. These must be sized for kids. UPDATE Ordered the XXL and they fit much better!

Comfortable, but TEARS very easily
I've gone through 2 pairs of these shorts. The first time, one of the stitches got loose and easily created a tear in the seams I was taking it off wet. Amazon then sent me a replacement, and that ended up tearing on the front after some water sports. Both times, I wore it less than a day, and the tears happened. I'm fit and active, so weight was not an issue. I just believe the construction is very poor.
