Sandbells Rock!
These things are great. Ok face it dumbbells may be the best, but they have their limits. Weighted Bars, Kettlebells, Medicine balls and of course Dumbbells are all great tools and each have their own little speciality but SANDBELLS let you do things none of these other great tools will. The various grip techniques that you can do with Sandbells can never be done with the other tools. For those of us who run a keyboard and mouse for a living hand wrist and grip are very important things, just as they are with many other professions and sports. So Far I have the 2,4,6,8,10,12 and 15lb versions but plan to purchase the heavier ones as well. Filling them cost about 7 bucks and a little time, a funnel is almost necessary but I had one. There were no instruction or recomendations on exactly to close them up but common sense did. For the record roll up the fill spout/neck and tuck it in the cavity where it comes out. This seems to work fine and I have had no spills. It is easy to open them back up and add or subtract more sand. I have used these as a replacement in the same moves I would do with the other tools, and found that I seem to feel more workout in my hands and wrists. This is what I expected and wanted. I have also used them on a rebounder and they are good, you do have to try n get em to hit flush and not on the outer seem or they seem to bounce akwardly(not necessarily a bad thing). I prefer these to medicine balls with handles because the grip variations with SandBells are better. I haven't had them all that long yet but they seem durable enough and they are a great addition to my workout tools. The versatility of these SandBells will surely bring a new dimesion to anyones workout routine and they don't hurt if you drop them on your foot.

hmmm
I love hyperwear- MSF in whittier incorporates it in all of their bootcamp classes, BUT, I was unaware it was unfilled- so now its sitting in my garage, and I have no use of it. I do recommend their filled sandbells, and the video that comes in a complete package. Hyper wear is great for squats, arms, etc.

Oh, yea!
This is fun. You fill it up with silica and throw it around - up in the air, to a friend, hand to hand. Can use while watching TV, or at the park. My objective is to get Madonna arms! Love the Sandbell. It would be very cool to have a sewn on grip strap.

Great product
Not sure why negative reviews for these. They are a great fitness accessory. Rubber bands are on the back of the sticker so they can be missed if you’re not looking for them. These are unfilled but it saves you money and a 50 pound bag of sand at the hardware store is under $5. Easy to fill with a funnel.

Great product but fiddle to fill bag
Great product. You can smash them as hard as you like. Filling them is a fiddle, however, and not well explained. Sand? Gravel?Including an appropriate funnel would be handy. Not everyone should copy ikea.
